Cool. Has nothing to do with buying a jacket.

      • This is hardly a fashion statement. So I am guessing some people would buy this for the same reason they might wear a $4.00 safety vest over a jacket they already own.

  • Thats a rip off!

      He already said it's Kathmandu.

d'ya think I came down in the last shower?
$2 plastic poncho - and bin it when the sun comes out.

      • Extra large plastic garbage bag and poke arms and head through when required.
usually a choice of colours, Black, dark green, Pink and White, also often perfumed for you too.

From Website: "The black SIGNAL jacket is the ultimate in 'discreet high visibility'." Wot the..?
      'spose good for Ninja cyclists

      • LOL!! It's actually covered in very reflective patches.
I got the yellow anyway - it's as bright as. (Still didn't stop me getting hit by a car in broad daylight. Nor did the flashing lights…..).
WaterPROOF and breathable. Big zips underarm for airflow if needed. I'd strongly recommend it.

        • Sounds good. Is it a SIGNAL because it has signal lights? Perhaps they should put one on the hood.
Sorry to hear you were hit. NLM

" Big zips underarm for airflow if (turbo) needed."
And so with the wind beneath your wings, you'd be flying down the road + change from yellow to black and you'd be a stealth turbo cyclist.

  • Like the black one for hiking, particularly because it pack's small. Hmmmm I don't really like Kathmandu but.

    Not a good deal OP.
This is a plastic jacket, that is why it's wind/waterproof.
What you really need is a basic membrane fabric jacket that breaths. Gortex is an expensive one but there are many copies/alternatives these days.
You will steam yourself like a dimsim on long commutes wearing this, better off riding in the rain in my bike snob opinion.
