They have to pay per token, only way to keep the business going is to have new customers pay for the usage of old customers, eventually the train runs out and they close shop.
Or it's probably some API to a super cheap LLM like duck.ai or something
They only let you use "External Chatbots" with their $149.99 plan, for that you get "1,500,000 Word Tokens" each year, which seems to equal 6 million output tokens.
The GPT-5 API costs $10.000 / 1M tokens, so at face value you're getting ~$60 worth of value each year for a $149 initial outlay. Plus the image and voice generation I suppose, whatever that's worth.
So you could theoretically get your moneys worth in 2-3 years as a power user, if they managed to last that long.

I'd be shocked if "lifetime" lasted until the end of the year.
All they're doing is being a middleman between you and either free (or possibly they buy one license and share it between dozens of people) accounts.
