Creality K1 Speedy $499 (Limit 20 Units Per Day from 1pm) @ Creality Store-AU

31

So I got this 20/day offer via email. I clicked through and was prompted to be notified when back in stock.

Clearing out my tabs I refreshed the page and was able to take a purchase through to checkout.

It might be a red herring, or a glitch in the matrix. Either way there's 20 a day for the next 2 weeks, but if you get one today let us all know!

Just to be clear as I missed it in the initial post, this is a K1 Speedy, which is an update on the original K1 hardware. It offers the same/similar performance output seen in the K1C, but remains Carbon unprintable without upgrade.

This is Creality attempting to compete for share of the Bambuniverse, by modernising the performance K1 and releasing at a slightly lower price thus far, than the P1s.

A well timed last ditch effort for Creality to grab a little more pie in the most tangible and growing market segment of Mid-Range 3D Click&Print printers, before they are trampled out of relevance as a Top3 chance at the future of 3D printing (this is not CFS compatible, but instead clues away that a "new version" CFS+ is soon to be released)

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2025

    P1S over this.

Not a deal, don't be fooled by the inflated discounts. Even cheaper from their eBay store ($487)

This isn't even K1C which they are selling for $649 with a free space pi.

Both K1 or K1C need upgrade kit to use CFS

    • I use K1 Max's every day and I think a K1C would be a much better option than an old tech K1.

Is $599 the best current price for a p1s?

      • I've a K1C, which I paid well below any deals going on (2024 model). Whilst it's definitely the better buy right now I wouldn't recommend you to ditch a K1 for it (if that's what you're considering).

Ive been upgrading steadily since I brought it, it's almost more 3rd party than Creality - but all the upgrades are just as applicable to any of the K1 series. That's if you're not too worried with a bit of DIY.

If you're interested in DIY upgrades and improvements, shoot me a PM and I will give you a link to the K1 Upgrades Holy Bible spreadsheet. It's amazing I wouldn't imagine being where I'm at without it. Also for every upgrade, if there's a guide, video or walk through of any sort out there on the Web, it's documented there too.

        • Nah the K1 Max's are upgraded versions out of the box with the unicorn nozzle etc.

why is there no deal posted?

        There is. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/929937

A question not directed at you, used in part and removed from context, is probably why it has you on the wrong track. Your post doesn't answer the question, but they did and I've no doubt they'll be thankful for your contribution

            @parad0x: What?

Dude, you're taking this too personally. We've all posted deals that haven't been popular. No need to get upset.

Cos in my perspective K1 is not a deal

Maybe familiarise yourself with what defines a deal, given that it's the whole purpose of this place.
          Or in general English language;

          Deal, noun
          Context; bargain

          Bargain, noun
A thing bought or offered for sale much more cheaply than is usual or expected.

I don't see opinion mentioned in there as a requisite. Right or wrong your opinion, mine or anyone else's doesn't change a thing.

Just as having $500 maximum budget, an extra $99 doesn't just appear because you want a better printer, or to have more value per dollar in printerrinter purchased.
ur username is anything go by its a real shame that not only do you cater selectively based on your own opinion and not by definition, the person who is buying, their budget or their needs.

There is almost always something available to purchase, along with gain to be had, at the literal cost of price. Yes, if you spend more you can purchase either of the other printers you've mentioned. Yes, they are better printers also.

The best buy from the 2 you've mentioned would still depend upon the needs of the buyer; Carbon - K1C especially if dryer included. That's carbon from the box. If MC is a desire, it gets even more buyer centric as well as a side by side comparison of which does what the buyers primary use case is. MM is a one horse race, there is no opinion or doubt to be had - Creality themselves endorse Bambu, but not the P1s as their context is K2

@parad0x: Its shit deal bro thats why there is no upvotes. Dont worry, ive posted a couple myself.

            • -1

@mitcheo: That's your opinion. The definition is clear both here and in the website terms, if you don't like it don't buy it. However I guarantee you that anyone who brought a K1 Speedy last week (if it existed, I really don't know) would disagree with you.

What exactly makes it a "shit deal"? A better printer for the same price? A cheaper price for the same quality printer?

              • +3

@parad0x: Just because something is the cheapest its been or you have personally seen it doesn't make it a bargain. Maybe find better deals before clogging up the site. Or learn to deal with feedback better. You look like an ass talking down to people. Thats my opinion.

  • Im tempted to buy the P1S for $599

      Go for it

    • +1

P1S won't print engineering materials out of the box; the K1C will, something to consider. P1S does have a bigger build volume, which is always useful. After Bambu's recent shenanigans with firmware updates locking out control, make sure you're happy with the offering. Back to the deal, K1 doesn't really seem like a deal at $500, there are many competitive Core XY printers on the market with similar specs for the money.

      • This is a K1 Speedy, crap I left that out of the title. Think K1C without carbon, or K1 with speed and volumstric flow of K1C (2025)
