Who the hell is paying 29 bucks a pair for undies RRP.

I regularly amazed at how much undies cost - people swear by Calvin Klein etc, but the ones I bought were little better than Kmart's Alpha brand.

      • CK is cheap at TK Maxx. Often around $10/pair

        • Just read this in an article on Gentlemen's Gazette:
"The only problem with Calvin Klein today seems to be that it is often produced under license. Thus, stores like TJ Maxx can license the name, and manufacture whatever underwear with the CK label. Consequently, the brand seems to be no guarantee for consistency in quality. "

puma 5 pack at costco for $26 sometimes you can get it for $20

    • Are these BPA free?

      • 90% Recycled Polyester
        10% Elastane

Polyester undies are fine for running/gym but for everyday wear no thanks. Cotton Hugo Boss are the best i've found, long lasting and very comfy.

It's a real shame I can't post swear words here

You should not wear underwear this tight,it's not healthy to keep the boys so confined…
Trunks are the best to wear.

      My boys need a house

    • Any good recommendations?

    • Surely boxer shorts allow the most freedom and ventilation?

  • I got some been decent lasting , as CK quality has gone down hill.
Been about 2 years now no holes yet, but can tell they are worn Abit , elastic is still very good though

  • Mine are lasting a couple of months before the seams and elastic goes, all replaced under warranty and all wearing out again

    • How are you washing them?

      • As per instructions
        Cold wash and front loader

  • Have anyone bought these from Temu before?

    • Does bamboo really work for underwear though?
I had bamboo socks but they just hold the moisture. They took forever to dry out after washing too.

      • I once used bamboo one from mitchdowd, they were good so thought of giving a try.
No experience with bamboo socks as I mostly use socks from Uniqlo.

        • Cheers, I'll have to try some.

RE: socks - I really struggle with what to buy these days.
Polyester and nylon seem to make my feet sweat really easily and are uncomfortable, wool is too warm in summer, too expensive and wears out too quickly, yet marketing says I should be wearing these fabrics not cotton.

          • @sam buster: I have some bamboo socks. Very comfortable, but do take a long time to dry, at least twice as long as cotton.

Cant believe people are buying this drop shit crap still.

Step One is the biggest overpriced china made drop shipped crap. You can order the same underwear from similar factories in china through the chinese websites like aliexpress

    • +2

People love to say this, but rarely provide a link for the exact same styles.

I have no doubt you can buy very similar for much less, same is true of pretty much anything in existence. But also there's value in knowing what you're getting…

I been saying this for 10 years. Trust me, you are getting ripped off with this brand. They were ordering from alibaba and someone outted them when they first started and even identified the factory they were producing them in china. It's all the same stuff.

        • I'll be happy to give it a go, sure is cheap.

But I'm also going to be a pedant and say the similar /= same. When we're talking about what your nuts are sitting in all day long, small changes can make a difference.

Fortunately at least the AliExpress stuff you don't have to drop $200 to try them out without being robbed blind. Definitely not a fan of that aspect of step one, the "deals" are definitely reliant on buying crazy volume.

          • @mattman: I'll vouch for the elewear stuff. I can't tell the difference between it and the step ones I've had.

        • didnt someone literally post an aliexpress listing where the "stepone" brand was in the photos?
