  • thanks rep.. you are a man of your word!

    • +1

no worries - took me almost 2 years to convince you lol.

      • sorry bought i bought from officeworks already >_< got it for $210 grrrr

but thanks rep for the deal!

It's one of the best routers atm!

        • no worries :). Good effort on your end getting the price down from OW - it was the lowest compared to staticice before we put this deal up.

  • Is free shipping included when bundling with a HP Microserver too?

    • Yes it is.

      • +2

        Thanks. Order placed. :-)
You should add the Microserver N54L into the deal, $279 is also a bargain.

      • Also what's the delivery estimate?

        • 1 to 2 working days - for products on promotion (except the 512GB - which is still awaiting stock to reach us.) If you order other products outside these promotion products, you need to refer to the "estimated dispatch time" on each listing to find out if there are any items that need 3-5 workings days.

  • 840 Pro or an M4? Anyone tried the 840 Pro in an older Core2Duo iMac (circa 2010)?

    • You wont notice a difference in day to day usage, IMO I would go the 840 pro, picking mine up today, just for the 5 year warranty and I have not heard a bad thing about them, but I am not sure about the warranty and stuff on the m4…

    • Does the imac have SATA 3 (6Gbps)?

If not go for the cheapest, both will max out your hard disk drive "connection". Both have good reliability. Intel 330 might be cheaper and no slower.

If you do have sata 3, compare the speeds on anandtech bench ssd benchmarks, and decide if the extra cash for the samsung pro is worth it.

The pricing and warranty (only 1 year warranty for the 250gb samsung ssd) appears to be different on your website?

    • warranty has been fixed, the price you need to apply our coupon code prior to checkout.

I have revised the Samsung 128GB Pro series to 1 per person as it is moving very quick and we need to let more people enjoy the deal.

  • Hey rep with the netgear modem do you have the one that had modem built in (sorry i forgot its model number)? Is it eligible for visa cash back?

    • Modem router D6300 is not valid for cash back - The R6300 is much more value over the D6300 (due to cash back)if you want to upgrade your router.

      • likewise id be interested in the d6300 despite not having the cashback if u could do a deal Rep

        • +2

Not today. Will have to find out if possible for future deals.

  • Excellent price for the R6300 with the cashback available… very tempted, though I was looking at the Asus RT-AC66U this morning which is meant to be a better router (though not as cheap as this option)

    • Excellent price = Limited time Special with limited quantity.

    • I am also deciding between r6300 and Asus RT-AC66U…

  • I am tempted to go the Samsung SSD but can anyone tell me if there is anything wrong with the OCZ SSD's as they are a fair bit cheaper at $174 + post -> http://greenboxit.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=57110

    • OCZ SSD drives are often un-reliable. The OCZ Agility 3 was one of the least reliable drives ever made.

The Agility 4 may be more reliable, but I wouldn't risk it.

Bought the 840Pro, thanks OP :)

  • Hey rep, do you have any of the "blade" style SSD's suitable for a 2010 MacBook Air in at least 256gb? I couldn't find any listed but I may be blind/stupid. I'm sick of being out of space on my 128gb drive and I'm desperately trying to convince myself not to buy a new laptop. Any info from other posters would be appreciated as well!

    • Unfortunately, we don't have the "blade" style ssds for MacBook Air. The thinnest SSD we have is 7mm (ie. Samsung 830, 840, 840 pro series)

  • Hello,

Do you have any deals for video cards coming up?

  • -2

MSY has the Samsung SSD PRO 840 Series 128GB for $145, so not much discount…

    • +1

      With free shipping?

      • +1

$145 pickup, which is better for me as I wanted it today..

  • If your replacing a 3.5" drive, does this come with a bracket, for making a 2.5" drive fit a 3.5" bay?

Does it also come with software, so clone the drive?

P.S: How are the 840 NON Pros these days? It seems everyone was frighten off after the firmware issues (to the best of my knowledge were fixes)

    Thanks

  • Hey rep, is the 840 Pro 256GB fit in Samsung ultrabook NP530U3C?

    • Hi willxiao0790,

The 7mm SSDs will fit into the hard drive bay of the Samsung Ultrabook NP530U3C, which means Samsung 840, 840pro will fit.

Sandisk Extreme comes in standard 9.5mm thickness - so it will not fit

  • Hey rep,
Is this SanDisk Extreme 240GB (550/520mbs)fit Samsung ultrabook NP530U3C? and how does it compare to 840 Pro(540/520mbs)? Thanks!

  • Any issues with the 120gb ssd for $95?

      http://reviews.cnet.com/internal-hard-drives/samsung-840-120…

A shortcoming of the 840 series is that TLC flash memory generally has lower write endurance than other type of SSD NAND. Write endurance, also known as the program/erase (P/E) cycle, is an attribute that dictates how many times you can write and rewrite information on a memory cell before it won't retain the new information anymore.

The non-pro 840 Samsung SSDs use low endurance NAND. Basically all SSDs will eventually stop writing new data and become read-only, the non-pro models have it happen a lot sooner.

The 120 GB will last 3.5 years, the 250 GB 7 years. The 128 GB Pro should last 10.5 years. Obviously writing more data will shorten the lifespan and writing less will increase it.

There are reports that the 3.5 year lifespan is conservative and the drives may in fact last longer, but I would still personally look at purchasing a different drive, just for peace of mind.

      • Good info and I second your statement on finding a different option for piece of mind. I personally won't touch the samstungs regardless of cost due to the build quality. Sandisk is not bad if they have any good prices on them?

Just purchased 840 pro 256GB - Great deal rep

  • Just bought the r6300 seems like a very good deal. Been looking for a router and always looked for shopping express deals but never bought anything. Hopefully everything goes well. Rep could you tell me how the cashback works, I mean is it how long does take to receive the cashback?

    • Cash back claims via the link i provided, they have some conditions & you NEED to read through:
eg. 1 claim per address only. All claims must be received by 10/04/13. Claims received after this date will not be accepted. No exceptions. As to how long before you can get your cash, netgear mention: Please allow up to 10 weeks from receipt of the claim form by the Promoter for delivery of the bonus.

      link for your convenience:
      http://www2.netgear.com.au/bonus/promos/q1-13-routercashback…

  • Some good deals there, would love a similar one on the Asus RT-N66U, but i guess that kind of relies on Asus providing a similar cashback deal?

  • +1

Just so people know, you need to enter the code LIGHTNING at checkout. I was so keen to read down and see what was on offer I didn't read the OP description, so thought I'd remind others too!

  • Damnit my PC at home needs an SSD but no space in the case:(, woulda been perfect time to pickup one of these samsungs:(.

    • You don't need 3.5" or 2.5" hdd rack for these tiny SSDs, just use Blu tack or stick tape to put it anywhere in your PC case.

      • My HDDs are just stacked on the floor of the case, am I a terrible person?

  • Any deals on the sandisk extreme SSDs? Maybe just free shipping?

    • Sandisk still awaiting stock (no exact ETA), so no deal yet. Once they arrive, we will provide the best possible price on ozbargain.

  • Hi rep - just wondering, how many days would it take for shipping to Gold Coast QLD?

  • Hi rep, your tempting me on the Netgear R6300. One thing I'm struggling to find out is if the R6300 is any good with VPN pass-through. i.e. can it handle 2 vpn passthrough sessions and is it capable of handling common protocols. Any idea? Otherwise let us know if you have any Asus deals.

    • R6300 - does not support VPN passthrough. We do not carry Asus Router yet, but will consider bringing them in if the price is right.

  • just purchased as was charged full price even though i confirmed the price on paypal as 250! id say watch out but the deal has expired now….
