At my local Woolworths, all Christmas merchandise (including a few remaining toys) are reduced by 75%.

My store doesn't have much left - but gift tags, wrapping paper, some toys, cards, Christmas plates and more are included.

Might be worth a search next time you go shopping. Your store may not have any left though, or the discount may be less. This was just in my store and wasn't advertised anywhere but the shelf. I haven't been around to any other stores yet.

    this happens everywhere after christmas, every shop is trying desperately to get rid of old christmas decorations

    definitely not a bargain- at this point of time most of it is crap & not worth storing for a whole year

      To be fair, you CAN score a bargain that you might not be looking for.

      For example, Christmas light gutter hooks and the likes at my local Safeway were on sale for 29c and 59c (different sizes & shapes). A light bulb went on when I saw them and I bought one of each pack to put on the side and back boards of my table as cable management hooks.

      It doesn’t hurt to check out what’s there, you never know what you might find.

    a bit late though, this all starts on boxing day, and is definitely worth it… by now, almost everything good is taken.

    Two days ago i saw all the HEAVILY discounted (90%+) Christmas items at coles being cleared off the shelves, i assume to be thrown out.

    Well I am giving this a positive.

    I buy all the wrapping etc - wack it in a cupboard and come next Christmas I am set.

    Often a lot of the stuff is suitable for birthday wrapping (bows etc)

    After christmas sales/reductions at supermarkets are common knowledge. It has been 75% off at my local Coles for one and half weeks and most of the stock is gone now. If it was going to be posted at all, it should have been sooner.
