Then why didn't you post it then ?

Because it makes more sense to wait for someone else to post it, then criticising them.

Pitty scoot don't fly in/out of adelaide, singapore is the best hub for exploring asia as there are a lot of routes on low cost airlines in and out.

    • Or even Europe - a quick look the other day found Qantas flights from Singapore to London return for around $600 AUD

I prefer KL as it is the AirAsia hub, and accommodation is half the price if you need to stop over.
In any case, flights or train/bus between SG&KL are cheap.

    • A while ago there were only 2 destinations in Australia, Sydney and gold coast, now they have Perth and Melbourne. Hopefully it will add Adelaide in one day

  • With the $99 fare what bag weight can one check in on lowest fare?.

    • for all 'Fly' tickets - you get Included Cabin Bag 1 piece 7 kg + laptop 3 k… and then check in baggage is extra, from 15kgs starting at $28.. you will get this option to add on the passenger detail page, so select you only want fly ticket on the initial page.

Combine that with a flight to London Heathrow with Malaysia Airlines on the 7th for just $398 ($497 in total) nice!

    • -2

you might be getting confused that its 398 pounds

      • +2

Malaysia airlines have it lowest at 198SGD not AUD- with taxes ends up being $403AUD…

      • Its definitely AUD.

        • Around what date did you find a flight Sin-Lon with Malaysia airlines for 198AUD??

  • What are the prices coming back from Singapore?

Check and let us know ;)

$184 was the cheapest returning back on the 18th of March

        • doesnt seem like there is a sale for the leg back, hence theres plenty of days at scoots usual prices.

and as mentioned before, you'd want to book this leg separately if you have a cc that doesnt charge international conversion/transaction fees such as the 28 degrees card… this means the cheapest ticket is $135sgd + taxes etc to 198.06SGD (roughly 155 AUD). which is available 3- 5 days on most weeks.

  • I'm confused. I can see the offer on the website for Sydney-Singapore $99 for TravelZoo subscribers, but can't work out how you book it.

I booked a flight in April also $99 Gold coast to Singapore .I had a $50SG voucher Scoot gave me from a previous flight i had with them for being over 6 hours delayed. But when i went to pay the Poli option it had gone lol so they got another $8 out of me for credit card payment.

    • From memory, the way they add the $8 convenience fee after you type out the credit card details is kinda deceptive (most websites add the fee once you select the mode of payment, and don't wait until you fill out the form). It might not be intentional and just crappy website programming.

  • Looks like return flights are out. Back to regular prices

They still have departing flights both from SYD and GC for $99 though

  • Can't find a $99 return leg for Singapor-Sydney… Anyone else found one?

    • the sale seems to be syd/ool - sin, and not for the return leg.

      • Yep cheers. Also a tip for those booking baggage- don't select it at the first screen when you book the flight.

At the second page (where you fill in passenger details), you can add an additional "Check-In bag" for much cheaper ($32 for 20kg).

Is that correct? What's the point in the "Fly-Bag"?

        • +2

yep thats the way to go. The fly-bag is on Regular Price, hence not affected by the sale and therefore not as good value as the sale price ticket + extras.

also i've discovered more dates are available:
          4 March - 21 March
16th April - 30th of May is good too.

    • OKay so first 1000 only…normally how long can we expect this to last?

  • Flew them in January. All good other than a 3hrr delay coming back to Sydney.

  • Got the syd-sin leg but not the return yet…im going to wait for a sale… or should i buy now?
Keep forgetting that its only austrlaian sites that show the full fare with taxes!! grr

Flew with them a few weeks ago and it was all good. Remember that theres early checkin at changi too! Lots and lots to do!

Scoot, SYD, AUS - SINGAPORE, $107 (stupid [in]convenience fee)
Jetstar, SINGAPORE - PHUKET, THAILAND, ~$76 (stupid me paying $18 more for thinking about it for 8 hours)
Air Asia, SURAT THANI, THAILAND - KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, ~$40
Air Asia, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - SYD, AUS, $~131
    $TOTAL ~ $354
    OzBargain, Priceless ;)

  • Has this deal expired? I can't find any flights Singapore-Sydney any of the dates…

    • The Deal was the Sydney to Singapore leg, so you aren't missing anything

      • Yep that's what I meant to say- I'm not finding flights Sydney to Singapore any of the dates…
