HP ProLiant N54L MicroServer [712969-375] Megabuy $279 Incl Shipping

30

Tripped over this while looking for drives. Looks like standard N54L offering for $279. When NSW or VIC postcode entered, it comes up zero dollars delivery for this item.

What's the difference between the one OP linked to and this one:
    http://www.megabuy.com.au/hp-proliant-n54l-microserver-p3598…

    Which has $16 shipping…

    • Excellent question … no obvious difference …

If you click the "View pick-up pricing" link on the page you link, it leads to the OP page. For some reason they have separate listings for pick-up or delivery.

So this is a fault with the page design. I'm guessing they'll charge you for delivery regardless.

I wouldn't say this is a bad deal(hence no -Negative vote)

but I would avoid megabuy, specially these Microserver deals, if you know what they have done to the consumer previously!

Yep wish a decent vendor had the N54L for this price.

I still cant get over how much of a dick they guys were when they bought out microservers previously and tried to resell them. It wasn't just that they bought out the other deal, it was that they posted bragging photos of them doing it and flashed it out in front of everyone. The smug attitude they had was along the lines of "You know you will buy from us in the future anyway" so I am purposely never going to buy anything from them no matter how cheap.

    • when was that? can you please post the link?

    • +1

      Yep I too remember that!
That was over two years ago I think

    Buyer beware with these guys.

I would rather wait 6 months for shopping express to have another sale than buy from Megabuy again.

  • good price so no neg, but not worth the risk of hassle if they shaft you around. i was personally burnt on the last round lured by the good price. but in the time they were screwing me around, i could have picked up another deal.
