Thanks so much :) I was looking to upgrade mine anyways, but i wonder what Tabs are included in the Free bit :P

  • +1

A shame their laptops are already overpriced by roughly the cost of a tablet.

  • Wonder if camera lenses, not just camera bodies, will be on special too.

  • shame my work mate bought the galaxy tab 2 for $337 yesterday. ah well. was'nt me this time :)

  • What tablet are they giving away?

    • they told me to chk in store.. will call em up :)

    • Probably the cheapest one that they have to dump it somewhere hahaha. As an Ozbargainer I guess that free tab will be $128 pendopad. Mr Gerry, I am thinking what you are thinking (O)
      http://m.harveynorman.com.au/pendopad-4-0-7-multi-touch-tabl…

      • Yeah could be one of the DX-ish cheapie…but then again Toshi's been trying to shift some of their older AT100 so I am kinda suspecting those might be it.

  • Do we need to call to find out how much off specific cameras? Or is this a surprise for tomorrow?

I think it might be a can of Tab free, which these days could almost be worth as much as a tablet computer to serious collectors

i got a toshiba laptop from overseas. does that count?

  • Must be those cheap cheap clearance tab they have. If you look at that pic.

  • PENDO 7 inch is the tab :( usually its $149..Not Interested

Um… Am I the only one to think that Tab is in no way a common or acceptable term for Tablet computer?

    • 'Tab' can also refer to LSD blotters.

Wouldn't want to confuse the two

  • +1

Plenty of room to write "tablet" in the subject so it made sense.

  • I note that it says all cameras 'in stock'. Don't know whether this will translate as 'we didn't take it off the shelf last night', but if not, then the Sony RX100 for $359 is a good price for pretty well rated camera http://www.harveynorman.com.au/sony-dsc-rx100-digital-still-…

My local says it's in stock.

Did you see the word "UP TO"?

      • Thanks for pointing that out superforever. The advertising becomes even more vague.

        • there is also hidden conditions denoted by the *

    • Just called and they said that is the discounted price down from $900
yeah right! sony sell its for $749
Some store is already started the sales, e.g highpoint

  • Is this also online or just in store?. Looking forward to buy galaxy tab.

    • Should be both online and in store viki8702 and thanks for your +. Hahaha . have a nice day

    which one's better? hl-2030 or ml-2164?

  • +1

Mono laser printer still available @ Moore Park NSW for pick up. Be quick guys.

A $5 Samsung phone for emergency is not bad too.

  • Anyone found DSLR or lens deals?

  • Is there samsung cash back on tab 2?

  • Does anyone know of any stores that have and would price match the samsung galaxy tab?

    • I'm not positive this is the same tablet (I don't know much at all about tablets), but it looks like Bing Lee might be selling it for $299… which is pretty close if you just wanted to avoid Harvey Norman.

      edit: link http://www.binglee.com.au/samsung-gt-p5110zwaxsa-galaxy-tab-…

    • Buy it from a participating HN and get $50 cash back. So the tab 2 10.1 is only $243 after promo code and cash back.

      • I'm in NSW so promo expired last week :(

Ok, so I have no shame, I bit and bought the Brother HL-2130 for $28 a couple of weeks back, seeing as it was a great price and my Lexmark laser printer is long in the tooth. (It cost over 10x the Brother, that's how long I've had it.)

Online purchase went through, got my invoice and pick up email. All good, what could go wrong I thought as I headed to the Balgowlah shop with the purchase confirmation to pick up today.

Go to the counter with the big sign Online Pickup. No, says the lady, you have to go to that lady at that desk over there first. Wow, bloody obvious.

Other lady looks at it, not sure what to do with it, asks a co-worker to take over. Have you got your pick up email? Yes, but the order number on the purchase confirmation is the same. But look, I'll bring up the email on my phone.

She found the order on the system, printed it off and said, but this has been picked up. No, it wasn't me. I don't know who you gave my printer to, but I didn't pick it up. I mean, you're supposed to check the claimant's ID, right? So someone else must have taken my printer and now there's a printer lying around that s/he "hasn't claimed".

Fast forward 10 minutes while she goes around talking to various co-workers. Finally a manager must have authorised release to me and I take my loot and drive off. Ended well, but it could have been a pain.

Looks like their blended online and bricks-and-mortar system is not working well. Ah Harvey Norman, you never fail to disappoint.
