SanDisk CZ52 Cruze Switch 16GB USB Flash Drive - Officeworks - $9.97

61

Hi Guys.

Bought a few of these today and plenty in stock. Available both online and in-store.

I'm not sure if this is a standard price at OW but $10 for 16gb for a reputable brand like SanDisk is a pretty good price in my book. Also comes with a 5-year warranty (considering transferring files via Jedi mind tricks isnt the default standard by then).

Nice price for USB3. I needed a few today, so OW suited me with this considered.

      • I think this is USB 2.0. Or so it says on the website.

[edit] Ahhh.. you were referring to the other link. Ignore then.

  • I'm pretty sure this is the regular price and has been available at least as long as the 8GB has been $4.73:

These things are painfully slow and a rip-off at $10 if you ask me.

  • yes, this is their normal price

their 32Gb one is under $20 too, bought one a couple of months back…

    This thing is horribly slow.

    • +1 … I kept reading about slow write speeds and thought "It can't be all that bad".

      Well, it is.

      Painfully slow.

  • $9.85 @ iibuy http://www.iibuy.com.au/sandisk-cruzer-switch-usb-flash-driv…
If buying online iibuy has better postage rates.

    • If you were buying online, you'd be crazy not to get the USB 3.0 drive from Flingshot for less.

    Takes long enough filling a 4gb USB 2 let alone a 16gb :(

Sandisk 16GB USB 2 $9.75 delivered on eBay.

  • so, the flingshot deal $9 lexar is faster than this???

    • Yes.

    • I have both and while the Lexar is pretty slow for USB 3.0 device, it's still five times faster than this.

The new 'bargain worthy' benchmark is $9 for a 16GB drive…

And to think that exactly 4 and a half years ago we used to pay $23 for a measly 4GB drive and even then people thought that was a bargain How times have changed..

In MY day you paid $1000 for a 1GB USB key and you were furious because it was limited to one per customer!

and it was a full half days ride in the horse and cart

      • my first usb stick i bought in early 2006, and it cast me $115, and it only could store 1gb of data, and i though i was prity flash with my 1gb. till 3 mouths large when i got 4gb for $100.

now i dont even click through for under 32gb.
