  • Myer website shows $89; Lasoo catalog shows $79 ??

Edit: my bad, sale starts tomorrow

    • Actually when you add it to your cart the price shows $79, so looks like it's active now.

      • How do you add to your cart, its only allowing you do to add it to shopping list which shows $79 but you cannot complete a transaction from shopping list… any help?

  • What's the chances of this being a normal SATA HDD inside?

    • 100%?

      • I think Burnz was talking about western digitals that don't' have a sata port and have the usb soldered onto the hardrive. I believe its sata as my 500gb that looks the same has a sata port

  • is this online only? Can't use gift card?

    • Please note that Myer Gift Cards cannot be used for online purchases.

      • Thanks. That's why I was hoping it's not online only

  • I am sure you can get it from the store as well.
    Available online only is incorrect.

  • I would feel super ripped off if I bought a drive that didn't come with a sata port. That would be like buying a computer that didn't come with BIOS.

  • Just ordered one with free delivery. Hope the read/write speed isn't too bad.. otherwise the "USB" speed is a bit misleading.

  • Officeworks has this model but no stock :(

  • OMG good deal. I want it but I don't need it! :S Am trying to not to think about it…

  • Just ordered one with click&collect.

Will post back with how it all goes.

  • Thank you! I was just searching for a 1TB drive, but couldn't find anything decent under $100. Just placed my order, with the delivery option.

  • Man that MYER site is bad. And these guys want to be taken seriously online?? They don't even bother including some specs.

As for the product. I'd much prefer the WD passport. (smaller too)

I picked the 1.5TB version from Amazon for $89 2 days ago. The price fluctuates like a yoyo but if you keep an eye on it, it will come down to that fairly regularly.

  • Thanks OP, got one to use for backing up all my family photos and videos. Hopefully well-packed up for delivery…

  • Is it compatible with Windows 8?

A number of programs I use are not supported by Windows8.

    How annoying!

  • Any good for replacing a Macbook internal HD?

  • Tossing between this or the Touro Pro 1Tb from Flingshot (@$85 delivered).

    Any help?

  • Link broken now, price is now bumped up $139 when you search. Lame.

  • ordered two, one was second hand - seals busted, "Mac Formatted" hand written sticker.. not happy Jan!

  • received my unit today after ordering last wednesday by courier not auspost. had 2 buffalo seals on top of each other, top seal intact, bottom seal was broken. Fortunately item looks new as protective clear films on top and all around the drive were still on and not scratched.

Did my usual quick format to NTFS and working well.

  • If anyone still looking for it, mel CBD myer (Lt burke st) have about 10 left…

  • Mine arrived. Brand new all seals intact. The green strip of light is a bit annoying though, otherwise great!
