Harvey Norman Melbourne CBD @ QV is having clearance sale for Varta Rechargeable Battery 15 Mins AA 2000mAh (2 pcs) @ $4.99 and AAA 800mAh (2pcs) @ $4.99. You must use the Varta 15 Mins Charger to charge it fully in 15 mins. I know that the max mAh for AA battery is 2700mh now, but it's still cheap though 'cause the 2700mAh is still retailing for at least $15 for 2 pcs. Well dunno about its quality, cause i've been using Sanyo rechargeable batteries and charger and they're good. But for $5 i can justify it :)
You probably don't need to use the Varta recharger to recharge these - any brand charger will do.
