I had an ANZ visa card once but cancelled it. They were pathetic when my card got comprised. The automatic falcon system picked it up and stopped my card but they didn't bother to tell me. They lost my reimbursement claims and then finally claimed the wrong amounts. It was a nightmare..

My experience: first year free like honey moon, then the annual fee is higher and higher each year.

Yes, when you sign up it asks for you Frequent Flyer membership number if you are already a member.
FYI I rung ANZ about this and they said there is a promotion that includes 10000 QFF points but nothing about fee free for the first yr, they did had this promo last yr though so I would be careful about this one.
they couldn't find the promo in their system!
When you called ANZ did you quote the promo code DLYS?
Using the link at the top to sign up, on the top right hand side of the application page it states 10000 points and no fee for the first year.
Also, i signed up myself the other day and my card and paperwork should arrive next week. No problems signing up online.
It does not work :(
