"I just wana keep on loving you"

    http://youtu.be/WlsahuZ_4oM

Think I might buy one because of the new blackberry song

    • not really new, been out since september last year. i loved it personally, but its clearly generated a bit of hate…

Actually after watching the live Samsung s4 webcast live, I think its seriously game over for blackberry and perhaps the beggining of the end for apple..

      Rip blackberry…. Sorry

      Live Samsung webcast below

      • Don't be so quick to discount the competition, it's not all about having the greatest specs or the latest emerging technology. Some people just want a phone that's secure, stable and easy to integrate with other services.

Technologies are not to be compared each other. Take the advantage from each technology.

iOS, Android, Blackberry devices have their own strength and weaknesses. Sometimes they have unique features that can not be performed by other device. It's just your mindset and how do you want to use it.

For me personally, I use all of them and bring it together.

I used BB for BBM Group to get in touch with friends and families. iPhone for company's email and browsing, and Android for gaming.

BB haters usually only compare and see if they can totally replace BB with iOS or Android device. That's IMPOSSIBLE man.

So far there's NO iOS or Android apps that CAN replace BBM Group. How about Whatsapp dude? Whatsapp won't replace BBM Group in ANYWAY.

On Whatsapp, how can you post a pic in a group and all posted comments are stored neatly under each pic???

        Consider this situation:
        * You post a pic in a Group in Whatsapp
        * You or someone in the group comment it
        * the conversation goes on and on.
        * Tomorrow or next week someone else want to view the pic or see the comments.
        * Are you sure they can find it? :) With Whatsapp, most likely they are gone!

This is why BB (even just for old model BB Curve!) is irreplaceable with any iOS or Android device!

But that is not the valid reason then I called iOS and Android as stupid device :) I appreciate all the devices and I love them all.

If you never use Blackberry for the BB Group, maybe don't know why people still use it.

Remember, every device has their own uniqueness and it depends on how you would like to use it :)

        • You can view all media under whatsapp group. All the pictures or videos is under that tab.

    • dont know what you mean, you seem to be getting plenty of negs. ;)

let me help you with that

Seems this phone is a good start in the new world of phones, but still very far behind iOS and Android (from the reading i have done).Appearntly it is a big improvement from the old plateform and still builds on classic BB style, but with a focus more so at the general market. I'm excited though, I think I may one day try one of these new BB phones, once they establish themselves and get on their feet against android/iOS.

I wish Blackberry priced the phone more competitively. I will get this for sure. S4, 441ppi….for God Sakes, human eyes can't distinguish the difference if over 300ppi. Blackberry is more for business than entertainment by product.

  • anyone know when this one will be out in aus? harvey is selling it in preorder status. not sure if kogan can really deliver it within 1-2 weeks.

    • why not?it's grey import and the phones are available…I wonder why Kogan actually can't ship em straight away

      • I agree. I want to know about this too. It has been available in some countries.

    • Optus 25th of March in store, or pre order here: https://www.optus.com.au/shop/mobilephones/blackberry/z10?SI…

Telstra will announce dates, pricing etc probably Monday, will be similar date to Optus give or take a few days.

      Enjoy :)

For all the Blackberry haters, just leave your prejudice at home and dare to have a look at the cool features and the quality build of the Z10 - BB have surely put a lot of innovation in this phone e.g Flow feature, BB Keyboard, Home/Work switch feature etc. Can't go wrong with BB this time! Lets learn to appreciate the new innovations!

    • I liked ur comment and I am a blackberry fan but that new S4 really blew everything out of the water.

I think it's time to jump ship… Come to think about it RIM reminds me of the titanic..

      Time will tell I guess

      • It depends on how do you use BB and what do you use it for?

If you are using BB mainly for BBM Group, we will still use it, even without the launch of z10 I still going to use it.

Until now, there's no app in Android and iOS that can perform similar or better than BBM Group.

This is the killer app that will perhaps make me switch to the other device only if they can have it!

        • +2

True, I think bbm is the best however apple may fill the gap with the impoved iMessage in iOS 7

          I wish bb the best

        • I hope iOS 7 will fix the IP5's crappy battery

Incidently, does anyone know/presume what the Blackberry's real battery life is?

        • +1

The recent .90 update for the Z10 has improved battery life dramatically, it handles a lot more than iphone 5 or galaxy s3. You won't have a problem with battery life, it adjusts to your usage after a few days as well.

Optus has this on their $30 plan plus $18 handset repayment for 24 months

    • I saw this ad today, I am interested but still unsure if the BBM usage is free.

As z10 is no longer supporting BIS and the BBM is still working using on z10, does it mean our BBM usage is considered as the ordinary data plan such as our browsing usage?

Read this from the website but unsure what does this mean "Does not include unlimited BlackBerry POP3 email or BlackBerry browsing" - hope to get clear info when looked at the '' footnote but nothing is there :(

      URL is https://www.optus.com.au/shop/mobilephones/blackberry/z10?SI…

      • It's just there because people using Blackberry in the past are used to having BIS and basically having unlimited browsing data, as Blackberry 10 has no BIS, it is just a warning that like any other smart phone, your browser and BBM usage will be taken off your data plan (BBM data usage is basically nothing though). Just a warning so people don't think they can get away with 100mb data plans because almost everything is covered by BIS :) It's exactly the same as a galaxy or iphone data usage would work.

You'll see the footnote says '**The BlackBerry Z10 is available on standard Optus plans, for inclusions please refer to the plan details outlined above.' which is just saying that it works like any other normal data plan.
