After filled-in in the second link screnings.org.au, I got this confirmation email.

"Please note: Free film screenings are for teachers and lecturers and their partners only. Some cinemas may ask for proof that you are a teacher. Children and teenagers cannot attend."

So, its not available to non-teachers?

  Screening in the second link is at Paddington on a Monday, not Dendy Newtown on Wednesday. Are there two different events?

    There are two different events (two bargains ???) the Newtown event which is the real bargain and after party is booked through time out and reading the instructions. Its the OP's original link.
