        we're all suckers. but for $24.90, i don't mind.

        • Awwww damn, I've bought the From Ashes DLC and have the game on PS Plus now, I really wanted this CE a while back.

  • If I didn't already have the game, I'd definitely buy it now, this is a great deal for an excellent game (and series!).

    • you could probably still sell your game for $15 or so, then buy this one. I know EBGames sell the PS3 version (pre-owned) for $30.

Awesome game. I just finished it day before yesterday (downloaded free from PS+)

I guess I'm one of the few people who thought this was one of the worst games ever made. (PS3 freebie via PS+) Crap graphics, terrible animations, cutscenes with framerate issues and the greatest issue I have with it; Always on DRM. That's right, lose connection with EA's servers and you will be kicked from your single player game back to the main menu. I don't know why more people haven't complained about this game.

    EA, go screw yourself.

All that said, this is a good price for a recent (but not decent) collectors edition game.

    • Has it really got DRM on the PS3 version? I'm sure I have played it offline.

      • All I know is I got kicked back to the main menu during single player because it lost connection to the EA servers.

Edit: after googling a bit, it seems if you start offline (signed out of PSN) you shouldn't have any problems if the network drops. Some people have reported having this issue on Xbox360 as well (same solution).

    • you're definately in the minority, especially since at no point you reference the ending

I stopped playing after the first 30mins because of the stupid EA server thing.

        • +1

You played for 30 minutes, and conclude from there that it's one of the worst games ever made?

        • Usually I would agree with you on that one, but if they make a game I CAN'T play for more than 30minutes, I think that's reason enough for it to be classed as pretty damn crap.

The opening sequence for a game is what makes the player want to continue playing. If I'm greeted with stuttering cutscenes & below par animations and graphics (not to mention the seemingly bland dialogue and other personal dislikes for the game) why would I waste my time playing any more?

    • I played it on XBOX and it was OK, doesn't have DRM though.

  • played the first two on xbox never got around to this one, no excuses now

  • Should i get this on PC or PS3?

  • Are their games AU stock or UK?

    • at this price most likely uk, but you could get au

      • I actually don't like AU games. The only way I can be sure it's not censored to hell is if it has an ESRB rating or PEGI.

    • The stock could be a mix, but often are from overseas since PS3 is region free.
But it is shipped from AU so you should get it within a week.

    Dam PS3 only edition :(

  • i have never finished 1 and never touched 2, should i play 3?

    • The idea of Mass Effect is(was meant to be) that your choices carry on throughout the game, your characters and decisions load on the second game that were made on the first, so it would be strange to only play the third.
Also, 1 and 2 are FAR superior games, I would highly recommend playing them.

Gotta say that 1 was good in its time but it is severely dated now. 2 is however great and since (on ps3) it is an updated version running on a similar engine to 3 it is still in great shape. 2 is by far my favorite in the series.

        • Yeah going too fast in the mako on 360 in the first game was annoying

  • Bought, thanks OP. already have the game, bought this for the extra goodies!

  • And bought! Thanks for this! I pre-ordered the collector's edition for the pc…still in its box from Electronics Boutique since I haven't finished the 2nd one yet haha :( I bought the Trilogy Set for the PS3 the day it came out and I saw it, have been after a cheap version of the collector's for the PS3 to go along with my collection :) …now just to finish the 2nd on pc, start the 3rd, and then do all 3 on ps3 :D

Damn it! No Xbox 360 edition =(

  • Thanks OP….or should I say, thanks for blowin' another $25 of my hard earnt! Not to mention the additional outlays when I can find 1&2 ;)

  • Got it for $15, cause they gave me a $10 discount… yehhhh best $15 ever spent.

    • how you get $10 discount?

      • It's one of those 'we miss you' codes… the code is MISSYOUTOO don't know if its linked to accounts though.

        • MOREPLEASE will also work if you've brought from them before and it's been applied to your account

  • Great deal - sharing with a friend of mine. He gets the game, I get the extra physical materials I missed by having the standard edition at launch.

  • Back up to $40 now! Got one just in time.
