Speaking of Easter eggs, which day is the traditional (commercial) egg hunt day? Lots of dates when googled, can anyone point me in the right direction ? Cheers

    +1 yes easter - the day of resurrection/rebirth - is sunday when gifts are given and the easter bunny leaves eggs to find :)

  Jesus was crucified on Friday (subsequently called Good Friday as He died to take away all sin) so that's the day for hot cross buns. Jesus rose from the dead back to life on Sunday so that's the day for eggs (representing new life). Whether you believe the eye-witness accounts in the Bible or not, it's what Easter is & where these traditions come from. I hope that's helpful.
