Bought the keyboard from this deal here where noobkiller69 posted lately the $24 from Bing Lee (credit to him) http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/97207

I went back to OW and ask them to price match again and refunded the difference for me.

(No stock online but if you put in your postal code you will see stock in most place)

I also tried put it difference post code like 8000 still said in stock, so not only Sydney but may be NSW only but some said OW will match it even no Bing Lee there.

As I said put in your postal code you will see in stock, only sold out online.

      • yeah so its only for people in sdyney right ? maybe put that in title.

        • Did you try your post code? I tried 8000 still showed in stock.

        • If you go back to the old post, someone manage to get it from VIC if though there's no bing lee in VIC.

        • well in my experience, OW carnegie in particular dont match. though it will help if someone in VIC post their receipt

  • Scratch that.. re-read and now understand.

  • If out of stock online office works cannot match

    • +1

No show them have it in stock in store.

      I matched it no problem.

      • pretty hard when there is no store in your state to get a match

        • As some mentioned OW price matched even in other states.

        • Wait… Bing Lee is NSW only?!? I did not know that. Guess OP didn't either…

        • Isn't it? I have no idea but OW will match it as people posted before.

        • Sorry Rokkz. I recommend you go to a different OW store then. Please see my post below as I just bought three from my local OW here in Brisbane, no probs at all!

  • Wow. I bought one last year and love it, picking up a second if I can…

    Thanks for posting this.

    • Thanks for you to point that out in the original post, I actually went back to OW today morning to get my refund back $14.25.

    • No date on the receipt?

      • I only printed the web page and took it to OW, remember enter the post code and also print the page show in stock in store.

      • +2

It at the bottom of the receipt. I'll take another photo when I get home.

      • Excuse me I'm a newbie; I'm just wondering what you do with receipt to get a price match?

        • +1

Not much you can do with a receipt nowadays because the stores have smarten up with our tactic. If a store manager does not believe the price on a web page or a printout (e.g. claims the price is a typo), or s/he does not believe there is stock available, then a receipt might help.

Officeworks will most likely refuse to match the receipt by claiming somebody used Photoshop to alter the price.

Damn just bought one from the $39 deal from Logitech! So efficient delivery was next day!

  • Does anyone know the difference between the K400 and the K400R? I just went in to a Bing Lee (Rhodes) and they only had the K400R on the shelf. The guy said it's not $24 as it's a different model, and that the K400 is not in stock in the stores. The reason I went into a Bing Lee was to get a refund on a completely separate thing and thought I'd check out what the actual keyboard looked like.

  • Great price!

it works! just tried it officeworks 10 mins ago. Bought 2, they have about 8 left in stock at the alexandria store

    Thanks OP

  • I use these for my HTPC. Good keyboard, good price.

  • This deal didn't work in OfficeWorks- King's St, VIC. They asked for the One with Shipping Price.

    • i feel you. that store is hard to do business with.

    Hi all.

I just purchased three from the Wooloongabba (QLD) store without any resistence… I just flashed them the Bing Lee K400 page on my phone and they changed the price no problem at all. Paid $68.40 for the three making them $22.80 each. Receipt here (very poor quality original, sorry): http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w159/SteveAndBelle/Office… They had lots left in stock too… 2 shelves full each with 4 piles of about 7 units so over 50 for sure.

    Thanks OP!

  • good deal, i paid $37 from last deal at officework

    • If you have time go back to OW and get the price difference refund, that is their price quarantee policy.I did that today morning before I posted this deal here.

  • I'm in vic and without being able to in store pick up I can't see how office works will price match this when there is 'no stock available online' even though it says free postage…there is nothing in stock to post…??

    • You have to ask if you look up a bit in this thread "SteveAndBelle" bought 3 from Wooloongabba (QLD) store.

      • Yes but he did not specify what he did about the 'out of stock issue' and my local store looks it up on their computers first.

  • So I assume no one in VIC has managed to buy one at this price yet?

  • Thanks, bought one at ow, price matched.
The counter lady said "Didn't you come before to buy this" I was confused and said so. Some other guy said no that was somebody else.

  • I just tried in one of the Sydney city stores, which calls for stock before matching. While the website says in stock, when called the Bing Lee Stores all say No stock, only the newer 400r at $49.
I called Haymarket, Bondi, one other Sydney store and Campbelltown all have no stock.

    They would not match :(

    • +1

You should print that out instead and don't let them call. :)

Because I found that if you go to binglee.com.au and do a search you could not find K400 only from the link here.

      • I printed out the web page, and just tried another Sydney store (Hunter St, first one was Clarence St) I was the 9th unsuccessful customer today.

As you said, Bing Lee have taken down the K400 from their website, as the stock indicator is obviously not working. If you can find a Bing Lee store that has stock, you could price match. If you can find a gullible OfficeWorks, go for gold!

Same here. Went to the Old Guildford Bing Lee and find out it's out of stock, although it still says it's in-stock online, same with all the surrounding Bing Lees.

Anyone contemplating on traveling to a store, call beforehand because their online stock indicator for in-stores doesn't work.

      • thx alsoar, saved me the trip

  • Ok… Priced matched it at East Perth OW. Receipt : http://db.tt/z0nj4SsH

    • Poor OW, Bing Lee doesn't actually have stock :)

    • Was planning on trying this after noon at East Perth, did you just print off Bing Lee website? They didn't question the Out of Stock area? After price matching before I know they are pretty lax there.

      • +1

Enter post code and also print out the page show in stock.

      • I showed him the webpage on my mobile but the guy insisted on opening the webpage on his computer. After failing to find the item on BingLee website, I got him to type the ozbargain directing link i.e. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/goto/98104

When the webpage finally opened, I myself told him that although it's showing out of stock online but it is in stock at the stores, e.g. try post code 8000, which he tried. the webpage showed some error and refused to open, and the guy gave up saying "It's okay, atleast that was the price on an Aussie website"…

I also showed him all the OW receipts posted above…

  • Careful, there's a K400R in similar packaging, not valid for the deal,
Bing lee Alexandria. Someone else was in there too kicking up a poo because they couldn't read the website

Tried to pricematch where i am now (500km from home), was told no as no binglee in area. Told them i was going home for the weekend and could pick one up there and not to worry. They immediately then price matched it for me??

  • Awesome deal, just price matched at Campbelltown Officeworks. Thanks to the [assumed ozbargainer] who came in earlier in the day for the same deal so I didn't even have to show the person working there proof.

    • You can thank me :-) Did you remember to pay by ING Paywave for another 5% off?

      • Actually, I did. It would seem you and I have something in common, comrade.

  • Bought three from Straitfield OW, price matched and 5% discount. They have plenty of stock when I was there but that was a hour ago.

  • I went to Blacktown OW and they called Blacktown Bing Lee but was told its $49 :(.
    EDIT: page has been removed.

  • Looks like i got it just in time. Glad i didnt wait till tomorrow..

    • I think too many people call Bing Lee about it and finally they took it off.
