  • Isn't there a new touch screen version?

  • Is it better to buy it from the US store instead considering its got IWS?

    • This appears to be cheaper than the US price.

Pretty much similar laptops, but the carbon x1 seems to have had better feedback… I'd say can't really go wrong with either. Pick Samsung if you want one that looks like the mac book air, or the lenovo if you want to look like you're down to business

    • Two things. You can upgrade ssd in samsung with no problem (mSATA), the lenovo is not so easy. Lenovo's keyboard is a lot better than the samsung.

The samsung np900x3d maybe a cheaper build quality made for the usa, compared to the np900x3c sold in Aus.

      • Care to expand?

  • Does anyone know of when this coupon expires? I'm not in the country at the moment and don't have anyone at home to accept the delivery!

      Offer ends 1st April

  • I have the Carbon X1 and its very nice. Almost the same size as a MacBook Pro 13" but with a larger screen.

You do need to be careful running Ubuntu 12.04 though since the Synaptics touchpad is rather jumpy.

It also has a very large power brick which gets well hot, and a bespoke connector which might be tedious for some.

Shame it only has 4GB RAM as well.

    ram can be upgraded easily

you can get an 8gb from msy for 50 bucks!
