          Not quite, Its an animated series, but back when they first started there was no cheap and easy way to animate a tv show, so they used screen captured halo and dubbed actors voices over it. And this is back in the years before screen capture was really a thing, I remember watching a podcast on them where they were talking about how they spent about $1500 on a device that could record the video from the xbox and then transfer it onto their computer to edit.

          But yes, it was mostly a voice over comedy. The action and effects took off a few years ago, with the addition of certain staff members.

    I remember watching this when it was first put on youtube… Can't believe they've now done 10 seasons and have even gone on to release it on bluray… never really knew what was so good about it..

      All episodes can be streamed, legally on roosterteeth.com

      Season 1 starts off as voice overs for a bit of comedy, but is fairly slow.

      By season 3, they have a good pace to everything (but you'll have missed the basis for a number of recurring in jokes).

      By season 10, the story has come a long way as has the action and effects.

    So this is uncensored? I remember hearing the DVD ones were censored for us for some reason.

    Been so long since I last watched any of this though. I used to get them from my friend who burnt them to CDs to give to me after he'd downloaded them. You know, because they were such huge files that took so long to download. I got through the first three seasons, and never got around to watching the fourth which is still sitting here. And all along I thought the fourth was the final :P
