      WHY on earth would people buy $79 suits… buy a decent wool suit which lasts for years and looks good. Wearing $79 suits makes you look like a high school student, not "dapper".

        These suits ARE wool. I am wearing one right now. For some reason the description of this item says "polyester viscose", but this only relates to the LINING of the suit.

          No, I think they are pv, and are washable. I've bought their wool suits before. I've also bought their pv Bracks trousers. Whatever I've bought has been very good quality.

          I highly doubt that they are wool. But seriously buying a $79 suit, you may as well not wear a suit. People can tell it's a piece of crap and you won't look good at work, at interviews, at the races or anywhere else. Buy a $400 -$500 (minimum) quality suit and it will last you for years if you look after it. There's a decent thread on WP about where to buy suits.

          If it is in fact the same suit, yes. It's a Pierre Cardin from a previous Mens Shop sale. If the actual suit was the same material as the lining, that would be one shiny flimsy suit I'm wearing :D

          From the tag in the pocket:

          Fabric Composition:

          100% Wool

          Lining Composition:

          52% Polyester
          48% Viscose

          Edit: As for your comments Knightelf, I am sure you would be a lot happier if it was the same suit at a higher price. But the question is whether these suits in this sale are the same as the other Pierre Cardin suits sold in previous sales at around $200. Unless you actually own one of these particular suits, you are unable to comment on the quality of it.

          Double edit: Looks like it's not the same suits as clarified below. Sorry for causing any confusion.

          The rep has confirmed it's not wool. If yours is wool then it must be a different one.

          I'll still give it a +1, would be good for students whom rarely wear suits and have them tucked away for University Balls, job interviews or appearing in court.

          Well every garment will have a particular market for them, but IMO PV suiits are horrible - would never wear to a job interview or out on a date. There are decent woolen suits for $200 if needed for any rare occasions.

    Does anyone understand this post?
    Is it for all Pierre Cardin suits?
    Is it promoting the $79 suit or the 2 for $199 deal
    And the promotion date is 15 March and also 24 hours?
    I don't need this confusion as I've only had 1 coffee so far for the morning :(

    Does $79 include trousers and jacket or just one item? If both, sounds like a good deal.

    Why are they so cheap? The cheapest suit I ever bought was $200. I thought Pierra Cardin was a decent brand?

      Suits are polyester viscose, not wool tapered.

      Polyester doesn't breathe as well as wool, making it cheaper.

      You'd be surprised on the mark up for suits!

      In a store I worked at had a $129 suit (PV) and it's cost price was $20-$30. The $300 suits had a cost of $50.

      You get what you pay for. The suits are probably on par with what you can expect from Lowes.

      Hey mate we have these suits for a limited time only - great for those one-off occasions where you might need a new suit for.

      The suits are polyester viscose, not wool. However, they fit really well and have been a huge hit so far.

    RRP $140 suits + $59 pants for $79 is a good deal, though the suits aren't made of their best material.

    Code has been changed by OP above to EASY79. 2FOR199 was an old deal.

    The 2 trousers suit had size 80 pants with the 92ST jacket, how come size 80 trousers isnt available here?

      Hey mate, if you look at the sizing chart above, these suits are in inches and not CM. Check the size conversion above and it will all make sense.

        e.g.
        30 inches = 76 cm
        32 inches = 82 cm

        There isn't a 80cm conversion.

          The two trouser suits appear to be the wool suits, that come in different sizing to the suits in this deal.

          Hey mate - different cuts sometimes mean different sizing conversions. As a result, this style does not have an 80 equivalent size.

    as a side note, while it's not a work suit, i do like to suit up when we're going to food / wine festivals and i dont trust myself in the work suits after a few drinks … this is an easy solution :)

      Hey mate,

      A size 100 jacket comes with a size 88 jacket. This is standard for Pierre Cardin and Van Heusen suit sets. A suit set size refers to the jacket size always, not the trouser.

    Man to man sell same kind if suit for $50 when on sale.

    For a cheap suit u just wana throw around this is perfect but for an occasion ud wana be spending 300-400 min on a nice super 100 pure wool suit. Will last ages. Each time I dry clean mine it turns out looking brand new. You won't get the same feel and look on these Polly suits. End of the day you get what you pay for!
