The 30% off has been advertised for a while now and most of the SSD's have been posted here before in single posts

So where is the deal exactly when you can get them cheaper or close to the same price locally ?

      Sandisk Extreme 240GB - $179.99 + $6.61 shipping = $186.60

      $175 @ GreenBox IT

    • Agree, not a deal. Similar price locally + local warranty

  • Crucial M4 128 can be found cheaper here in Oz on staticice.

  • Not sure if I'm the only one who's noticed but SSDs tend to be more expensive here in oz. I get most of my pc stuff locally these days as they're usually the same price as if not cheaper than overseas.

However, the price of SSDs here seem to be rather high. I got my Crucial M4 128GB in south east asia for 114.3AUD at current conversion rate.

    • SE Asia happens to be where they're manufactured and it's a very competitive market there with low overheads.

  • The good thing about computer hardware here is that generally we don't pay the Australia tax on it like we do so many other items (brand name clothing, trainers, supplements, collectibles, books, food, furniture…) Prices are only slightly more expensive than from places like Newegg in the US, and we have a local warranty.
