IGN's Free Game of the Month has been popular here on OzBargain in the past, and April's offering looks like a winner too.

With an 86/100 on Metacritic and an "Editors Choice" on IGN, this game is definitely at least worth a look for the bargain price of zero; especially considering the app hasn't dropped bellow a $2.99 buy price

Redemption process is easiest if preformed directly on your iOS device:

  • Follow the link to the IGN page
  • Tap "Get My Code"
  • On the screen that pops up displaying the code, tap on the code itself
  • Your device should then transition to the App Store; input your iTunes Account password and the app will download

Description:

HORN is a 3rd person action adventure game - a completely unique experience where anyone can fully explore and enjoy a beautiful and engaging console-style world, all controllable by touch gestures.

You play as a young blacksmith's apprentice named Horn who wakes up to find your village and lands over run by large fantastic, and sometimes humorous, monsters. It is revealed these creatures are actually the people and animals from your village transformed by a curse, and you alone have the power to free them. On your incredible adventure you carry the loud-mouthed head of one such fantastic creature with you - a somewhat uncooperative and ill-tempered but grudgingly helpful sidekick. Along with this new companion you must use your sword, crossbow, trusty musical horn, and wits to explore the lands, defeat the enemies, and solve puzzles in your quest to undo the curse that engulfs your homeland.

      Your comment bordered on a personal attack directed at a Power User. A Power User cannot update the deal URL so this was unnecessary.

        It wasnt an attack on the power user.It was just a suggestion, may be the way i go about it wasnt the best because i was frustrate at the time. I was talking about his link in the description

        It is still a dead link so i dont see how that is resolve. It would be nice to give me some credit, i was the one who found the actual link to access the deal in the first place.

          Sorry that the link in the description in the post itself didn't work… only just noticed that now and have adjusted. it's odd… that link (go.ign.com/HornFree) works fine when typed/copied into address bar, but not when used as a link here on OzBargain. I think that the link runs thru bit.ly to some extent so issue may lie there…

          and as a a a mentions, the correct link was reported to the mods before your comment anyway… and I know that because it was me who reported it; even power-users cant alter the post link. reporting gets the post fixed ASAP so everyone looking at the post has max visibility where as just putting the correct link in the comments means it might not get seen. don't know why the recognition is so important here… IMO its all just about the most people as possible getting there hands on the goodies… doesn't matter who gets them there…

    This is awesome! I heard about this game because Austin Wintory scored the music, but I never thought I'd get the chance to play it - these free monthly games from IGN are incredible!!

    Disney might not be happy with that rusty large robot. They own the copyrights to Studio Ghibli works outside of Asia and that robot is too similar to the robot from the animated film "Laputa - Castle In The Sky".
