    I have the two section version of these and I love them. I paid about $140 for them from a Korean eBay seller just under a year ago so $128 through Amazon is a steal.

    If you're looking for a nice, sturdy head to couple with this, the Manfrotto 804RC2 is fantastic.

    I would recommend this tripod to anyone who is a keen photographer entusiast.
    It is just what you need. Price is very good as well. I have an MT293, which is one step down, and I wish I would purchase this one instead.

    Has anyone tried one and could offer their thoughts compared to the Manfrotto?
    Would I just be wasting my money on a cheaper one and want to upgrade it before you long?

    (on a side note, also undecided whether to go ball head or pan head..)

      You generally get what you pay for with tripods. Manfrotto scream quality. I have a 055XPROB and love it - extremely sturdy, huge height and versatile. I can't seem myself upgrading again, only getting something smaller and lighter for travelling.

      I'd definitely go with the 190XPROB over ebay options. If you're going cheap at least get something well reviewed, check on Amazon / BH Photo for something with a few hundred reviews in your price range. Having said that at $128 you cannot lose…

    +1 for 190XPROB being a solid and well built tripod. Goes well with a 804RC2 or 498RC2 type head.

    Amazon shows $134.95 now, dynamic pricing… also don't forget your overseas transaction charges on your credit card so it's probably around $150 plus and add delivery so not worth it anymore

      Amazon seems to have switched the seller to a third-party, as they often do. Third-party sellers often have prohibitive postage. Beyond my control obviously. It was showing up exactly as I listed the prices earlier, when amazon.com was the seller.

      I think it's unfair to neg this deal, the price increase is most likely caused by seller changed from Amazon to third party seller, I guess stocks from Amazon are sold out (Ozbargained?)

      Keep in mind of any third-party sellers in your cart; they often add prohibitive postage. Amazon sometimes switches the item to a third-party seller. I think that's what they've done now (I just checked and now this deal is showing a third-party seller, whereas before it was shown as selling direct from amazon.com).

      I'll try to get over the fact that I got my first negative vote on a deal I posted :)
      I guess you have to get in quick…

    I've just marked it as expired.

    So I go to check it, and it looks like they restored the original discounted price I listed; Amazon.com is the seller agian too. Crazy!

    So for anyone that wants one, it appears - as I write this - that they've put it back to the original discounted price I listed yesterday.

    At least for now, as I write this.

    The price has always been $128.34 for standard delivery to AUS & $154.84 with AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping (since 1 month ago when i did my price research).

      camelcamelcamel says so too, since about mid-March.

      But not earlier than that.
      And amazon keeps switching suppliers. Right now I check the link and it's back to a third-party.

      Oh well, might be worth waiting and see when they switch back again for those that want one.
