  • To make your blades last longer, don't forget to remove the water on them after use and resharpen them every week on your jeans.

    • Does storing them in oil work? Saw it on an ad for a book on tv.

Here's the hints on making razors last longer, & the jeans do get a mention, too!

There is also the Razor Pitt Sharpener. Has anyone used this? Someone said they got a lot of life from a single blade.

      • You probably wouldn't need to mess with oil if you properly dry the blade (or dip it in metho or alcohol) - apparently the steel in razor blades is cheap low carbon steel that corrodes (though not to the extent that you notice visible rust). Even you you only triple the life of a razor blade, over 5 years that will save you a modest amount of money and results in less material being deposited in landfill and less resources squandered.

  • Nice razors, they are the only ones that I use. Unfortunately my iPad can't show me the Deal as it requires 'Flash', which for some reason is an IOS no-no!

  • $10 postage… Kinda painful. Ok price if picking up in store!

  • Picked up 6 proglide fusion blades for $18 at coles supermarket (rundle plaza, adelaide), normally $25, thought that was a good deal. Might be on at other coles too, worth a check.

  • Picked up 28 proglide fusion power blades from ebay seller in victoria for $65 includes postage!!

    Woolies sell 4 for $30 and 6 for $40!!!

Shaver Shops have had them at this price for a while now; seems like a [semi]premanent discount? Still, much cheaper than Woolies

I miss my German work trips, could buy a pack of 12 genuine mach3 turbo blades for the same price as a 4 pack here. The ebay ones are almost always fakes, inspect them carefully before use, as the edges get serrated and they rust. If it's too good to be true, it usually is.
