24x Hoegaarden Beer at Aldi for $45

220

Picked up the last one at Aldi Maroubra this evening. May be $44.90 or $44.95 or whatever. Haven't bothered checking my store receipt but its basically $45. Dan Murphy's has it for $56 and the local independent had it for $50 (bought a case there before buying another at Aldi).

It seems they don't advertise the alcohol online, perhaps because not all stores sell it and there may be different lines at different stores. Not sure. Would be nice if they did though.

I wonder if Dan Murphy's or First Choice will do a price match?

    • Anyone tried price matching? If so, it's a great deal for Hoegaarden!

For any Sydneysiders, Jim's Cellars price is always at $45 for a case - http://www.jimscellars.com.au/_product/view-product/hoegaard…

    • I thought I'd seen a similar price around. Thanks for the heads up.

  • Saw it for $50 last weekend at First Choice

  • When I lived in Vic I loved buying beer from Aldi, great value. Now I'm in QLD and they don't carry it

    Damn you QLD Law!!!

    No booze in supermarkets.

  • @QLDers: I thought it was just a matter of Aldi applying for a license like they did in NSW but it looks like your laws need changing first. Have to own a pub first, now that's an antiquated requirement.

  • Thanks. Will get some tonight since I can finally find redback slabs.

  • With all of the alcohol tax rises, I just can't keep up my alcoholic life style. I believe rise in number pot heads is due to alcohol taxes. Even with inflation, pot prices have stayed stable, and now relatively cheaper than alcohol.
