The best Coffee Machine under $200?

I am looking for a Coffee Machine. I think it's time to stop buying my Cappuccinos from 7-Eleven @ $1 & $2 a cup (value for money!) and do my own.

Please I need suggestions. I know there is Aldi and what not, but any other ones out there? Mostly for Cappuccinos

  • Do you want a pod machine or a 'do it yourself' one. The DYI machines around the $200 mark are better than the pods but only for those who like to feel in control and you can use any coffee you want. Personally I'm lazy and use pods.

The ALDI Expressi is a decent machine but you're stuck with expressi capsules (although MAP pods are somewhat compatible).
Personally I'd be going with a MAP machine (Woolies Cafitaly, Nescafe Dulce etc) as there is a variety of machines which will do what you want and you can have a wider variety of coffee types.
    Nespresso is still better though.

Just get a Sunbeam or Breville machine. The more important thing is a good grinder and fresh beans. You can make awesome coffee on a cheap machine if you know what you are doing and use fresh beans.
I also have a Expressi which is good when you dont feel like making a proper cup.

    • +1 (especially to a good grinder)
Doesn't take long to learn how to make a great coffee.
There was a deal recently for a Breville machine plus decent grinder for around $200.

      • +1 on the good grinder

    • I think that must've been the Machine/Grinder combo I was thinking of.
