    VIA WM8950 CPU

oh yuck, Asus must be high when they made this decision.

even the chinese tabs steered clear of this junk

      not worth it for 169

      oh yuck

That was my initial reaction too. But I thought I should give it the benefit of the doubt and did some Googling. Turns out this is based on ARM Cortex-A9. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WonderMedia.

But having said that, spec wise it's pretty similar to the Acer tablet (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/99527) except for 1GB of RAM. So I don't think it's worth $70 extra.

Trust me asus product sucks. I have spend alot of money in the past buying asus product and their products are too cheap in terms of quality.

Nexus Tablet range is also made by Asus and are quite famous.

if you are referring to the nexus 7 then, the nexus 7 was plagued with problems when it first came out

  • Not worth it. any of the last few Ainol deals with quad cores under $100 delivered is 100x better value than this. this is a horrible product that should have been brought out 3 years ago to compete with the original Samsung Galaxy tabs.

  • Tried playing around with this tonight but speed after less than 5 seconds. Go the nexus 7. For $50 more, you will get a fine piece of hardware.

    • Where did you get the Nexus for that price?
I too agree to get the Chinese brands like Ainol or Ramos for a better configuration. Only benefit here is with the warranty, in case you have any issues. Imported ones might end up quite expensive after sending back.

Office works have the 32 gig at 247, was assuming the 16 would be cheaper elsewhere
