$120 Cashback on Vodafone's $30 Plan from Starhere

34

Just came across this. Never had any experience with Starhere but seems a good deal(please share any if you have). Should be 60 plan and over with one exception for this $30 iphone4 deal.

Vodafone becomes expensive for the past few month but still a good choice if your friends are stick with them.

    Vodafail=NO

    • There's no point being on vodafone - if you have credit you have no way of using it because the reception is better with two tin cans and a bit of string. I churned away to telstra because vodafone was costing me business. No way could they pay me enough to go back onto vodafone.

      • vodafone isn't that bad depending on which phone you own :)

        my iPhones = close to no reception
        my nokia lumia 920 = better than my telstra (where i work: urban shopping centre), faster speeds and better reception.

    Yeah, not a fan of the new $30 plans. Whole reason why vodafone is cheap is due to the sheer number of people with vodafone, especially after they absorbed 3. Since the $30 plan doesn't have infinite vodafone to vodafone calls like the $29 plan, not such a good deal.

    • They are cheap because they only have to pay for a network that accomodates 50% or less of their customers. :-(

        Vodafone is quite positive to absorb customers during the past two year(you can get a good deal from time to time by just talking to their staff), and starting last year, they became mean to everyone. I think the game is build a large base number and then lay down on them.

  • i was going to post this, i think its good for anyone about to go on a new voda plan. voda are not giving out much of a discount with their iphone plans anymore, so $120 cash back is decent

    I really wouldn't get this deal based solely on the cashback because you are unlikely to get it.

    I signed up for a Vodafone plan when they had a $30 cashback promotion but never received it. Yes I did exactly as was instructed on the Starthere website step by step.

      ive had the same experience with all of these cashback websites. Theres always some catch "oh sorry, you didn't press up up down high punch when you got to the vodafone website, you dont get the cashback". Massive scam IMO

    Vodafone generally don't honour cashback promotions. Even if they promote it themselves.

      I've gotten 200$ cash back from buckscope a year ago

        • Plus 2 and 3

          As well as other cash back offers…. This reminds me I'm due to cancel an account at the end of its contracted term.

          This sounds like a ad for start here.

          We can go on that site and post all the cash back offers as bargains now?

    • That makes no sense at all.

  • They do honor it.

    But its a gimmik. To reel you in. I did this in December of 2011, got it with a Galaxy S2 Deal, They couldnt find the code, but the chick at the vodafone store was cool enough to honor it, and she gave me her number if anything went wrong. I thought I had it good. My friends told me the Vodafone network was crap, but like any hopeless kid, I thought it would be DIFFERENT FOR ME. Oh how I was wrong. Way. Way. Way. Wrong.

    Inconclusion, Im turning 20 years old. I only have 1 regret with my life, and that Is signing up with Vodafone.

    Dont do it. Even for the extra 120 back in your pocket. Oh looking back at the times where I could of used reception / 3G internet. Oh the horrors.

    edit;

    ps; 2 Year contract, finishes this year. Im so happy :') thinking of buying a phone outright and going prepaid with telstra or some other network even if I have like 3 or so months left of the contract. Yes its that bad.

    (im from Western Sydney, I guess the city is alright, but out west, horrible imo)

    • Like you, I couldn't wait for my voda contract to expire. On the day it was due to expire I rang to cancel, and spent the best part of an hour being shuffled between 3 or 4 people trying to convince me to continue with them and sign a new contract (as if) before they would even put me through to someone who could actually cancel my service.

      • just port out

    starthere is about as reliable as the vodaphone network. Occasionally it will work but for the most part you'll be out of luck.

      Yep, this. I've used it around 10 times now to purchase things and despite clicking through and not leaving the page (or even visiting any other page in another tab) until after the purchase had gone through, only ONE transaction has been awarded cashback.

  • I don't trust starthere at all, especially with bigger cashback. I haven't received my cashbacks for purchase of Dell laptop, opening ST. George a/c and Vodafone which are more than $60 each
    The trend here is that they all promise bigger cashbacks. However, I have been lucky enough to get smaller cashbacks offer only.

    STARTHERE is UNTRUSTWORTHY - in BOLD letters
