would not recommend 2560 x 1080 at this size. I have a 34" 1440p ultraiwde but am currently limited to 2560 x 1080p because of my mac mini....

this has two more cores than the 3600, so depending on the workload the multicore speed and extra core count will be hugely benefical

7 2700x gives you better multicore performance for multitasking and video editing but yes 3600 for gaming due to better single core speed
