Intel looked to have raised prices. 11900k $600usd for an 8 core that competes with the 5800x. Like all older products though, they will...

Early adopter tax really. It either costs patience or Money.

You got it 4 months ago and want a refund? Maybe if it was yesterday but not 4 months
05/03/2021 - 12:40
999 was pushing it. This is way too far.

You can also transfer insides of HP into a new case so you can fit bigger gpus. I made a cheap htpc out of it and got a HP atx power supply...

Wow and this whole time people, including myself, have been blaming retailers for jacking the prices. Thanks for the info
19/02/2021 - 14:21
Yeah crazy times. I wish I did the same but now for 550 I may as well pay 300 more for double the cores
15/02/2021 - 14:35
I got a 3300x as placeholder so I am happy to wait it out
15/02/2021 - 14:16
I gave up and just preordered a 5900x for 859 at PLE. I can't see prices going down any time soon for these chips :(
15/02/2021 - 13:37
It's like a 2+ month wait for a 5900x and Intel will claim their cpus are better than 5800x so will charge more for their i9. I think...

Retailers leaked the prices. 11900k is 500 Euro before taxes so expect it to be above 800 AUD....

11th gen is not looking too great and it's a fair bit more expensive than current comet lake prices. I wouldn't pay more to get an 11900k 8...

Lol I had it ready to go in cart with 1 button left to push but I managed to talk myself out of buying it for that price
10/02/2021 - 16:18
I was obviously being sarcastic and exaggerating. As a tip stick to Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus for the most accurate and...

It comes into consideration with regards to power supply and thermals not so much cost per watt
06/02/2021 - 15:15
I didn't say it wasn't better value. I was just correcting your misinformation
06/02/2021 - 14:53
That is TDP based on base clocks not boost and not real power consumption. 10900k uses ~250watts v 5900x ~180watts. More if overclocked
06/02/2021 - 14:33
I think it wins in Red Dead Redemption at 1080p but that's about it
06/02/2021 - 12:02
Cheaper but definitely not better. Less single core and multi core performance with a lot higher power consumption. Nothing about the...

He is right about userbenchmark. Getting the latest and greatest is never good value. Tables have juat turned between Intel and AMD. Just...

I5 9400f for 195 is probably the best choice. No Hyper threading though. 9th gen was pretty shitty

Although I agree, ignore userbenchmark for any comparisons. They are extremely unreliable and favour certain brands leading to bans on most...

Probably a bit busy fixing Cyberpunk lol

I have had no problems with Ali express Cpus but if you want more peace of mind then Amazon doesn't have the beat track record for returns...

If you can afford to wait Aliexpress has: 3100 = $144 3500x = $180 3600 = $225 Add GST unless you organise a way around it with the seller....
31/01/2021 - 22:30
Probably about the 2070m level tbh
23/01/2021 - 13:54
Wait for reviews. Rumours are Nvidia have gone back to the days where the mobile versions of cards perform no where near the performance of...
