To be fair Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Misubishi etc weren't exactly household names belt before

@paddywide sounds like you're overcrowding your pan. Either get a bigger pan or put fewer steaks on. A smoking hot cast iron pan can't be…

Yep, he's objectively wrong. You're not getting a good crust on your steak with SS. Cast iron gets a better season and clean up easier too.
23/01/2026 - 16:59
Nah this is sacrilegious. Cast iron is the goat for steak. Gets far hotter than SS. Go to gym more if you struggle lifting a proper pan.

Thanks. I asked chatgpt and the only benefits seem to be for sauces and tomato based things. I just use my SS saucepans for that though.…

I only use cast iron. Any use for stainless steel?

@xrailgun yep i got ex5 around 46k DA and i thought that was a kid price. Don't think I could have justified the 10k extra though compared…

@tld8102 confused how you have Time of Use (TOU) charges without a smart meter
24/12/2025 - 22:24
@Dany Boy 99 how often do you need to wait for charger? I guess it doesn't help with the charging half way, but Coffs itself seems to have…
24/12/2025 - 22:22
@tld8102 what are your current rates? Surely not flat 67c/kwh? If so, you need a smart meter! I can understand not upgrading if you're…
24/12/2025 - 22:18
@tld8102 if you don't have a smart meter wouldn't it be a flat rate? Don't the retailers install those for free now?

@andytheturtle Only had solar and battery a bit over a week. 13.77kw solar and usually getting 70 to 95 kwh a day. We're big power users…

Wow @andytheturtle didn't realise electricity so much cheaper there! I was on that plan until i switched to battery rewards last week.…

Marketing speak doesn't translate into meaningful differences for consumers though. Besides the few token pet features, it's not that…

@huntabargain Chery has EV E5 for similar price so I'm confused how this is meaningfully differentiated in price or features as the premium…

@andytheturtle wow so cheap! Where are you These are my current rates in SA. I'm on battery rewards plan with AGL. Should hopefully never…
23/12/2025 - 08:24
I had this too until i got solar. Peak rates can be over 50 cents so the EV plan is great. I had my pool pump running then
23/12/2025 - 07:17
Most people are fine with granny charger. You can also get EV charging plans now with charging at 8c/kwh overnight, so you might even save…

Australia one of the best countried in world for cheap EV's. Look at UK procing if you want to see a rip off
23/12/2025 - 07:10
Ex5 don't have a lr version. This battery is very similar
23/12/2025 - 07:08
But Chery don't have a cheaper equivalent size EV so this is hard to understand
23/12/2025 - 07:07
Well it's not necessarily a completely benevolent motivation. They are simply maximising revenue. If it was priced at Australian prices…

25/11/2025 - 09:31
Yeah the all floor comes with Floorbrush SBB AllFloor but the cat and dog m1 comes with TurboTeQ Floorhead. I believe that is still non…
