Apparently it's a Manager's Special and maybe avaiable at your local DSE store.
Good luck finding one at your favourie DSE. Plenty of stock at Highpoint VIC for those nearby.

    Mate, Dicksmith customer service is horrible. Just rang all around sydney.I went to grab one at george street, they said out of stock and second minute a guy in business suite came in they gave him stock as he bought cover and accessories. I talked to the manager and they tried to cover up , they rang Bondi store and said they have hold the stock. went to bondi, dick smith they cant locate the stock. what a joke. :(

      I was at the George Street store as well - was told they sold all of them in the morning, but I swear I saw a staff member walk out with an iPad from the store room minutes after. Could have been a 4th Gen White I guess… doubt it though.

    Staff told me all sold out even though the website shows LOW STOCK now. They said because the website always updated at 6:00am every morning, so how come it changed from IN STOCK to LOW STOCK this noon? And other stores stock availability update immediately?Shame on the liars.

      It's actually their computers stock inventory of other stores that updates @ 6am, IIRC. I don't know if the site runs on the same system.

    I'm pissed off with my 8.9 Galaxy tab 32gb 3G. Bought it second hand (but new) in August 2012 for $300.. not a bad deal I thought but now the headphones jack don't work properly.. Water damage.. Possibly but headphones on my iphone 3g (which has seen lots of rain exposure and is nearly 5 years old works fine)

    Next tablet is an iPad

        at least they wouldn't let 1 80 years old woman buy 6 units. And also if DSE staff wants more than one themselves would only be allowed to scan their staff card once for 5% staff discount. Something better than nothing could be done. Now those who really want to use one for themselves missed out and those bought 6 or more put them on eBay or Gumtree…

          I think most people if given the opportunity would do the same, so nothing to whinge about. I've seen it all in store and I'm still not convinced with people blaming dse staff for keeping everything to themselves. These sales are a hit and miss, they are not designed to pull crowds publicly.

    Been to DSE in Nunawading. They have sold out but are pre selling 20 that are due in stock next week although you have to go in to the store to make the purchase and they will then call when they have been delivered to store. Only white available.

        From what i heard eves dropping on the phone calls you have to go to store to pre purchase. Phones were going off the hook while i was in their with 80% of their staff taking calls.
