    This is a good buy.

    Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000 Keyboard/Mouse Bundle from officeworks $119 - $60 cashback = $59 wow.

Can be further sweetened if you can get someone to price beat officeworks.

      Price match at Officeworks.

Works out to ~$43… not bad :)

      • Note that Officeworks (at least they say on their site) take into account delivery fees, and it works out as just over $119 delivered for me which should lead to no matching. Not sure how much this is enforced though, what are people's experience of this?

        • Just match MSY in store price.

        • Good point XD

        • I've found Officeworks online enforce this add the delivery fee rule even when its only them that have delivery fees. i.e. I've tried matching The Good Guys in-store pickup price against Officeworks and they add their own fees to the price match, which means they were actually more expensive!! Waste of time, 40 minutes on the phone to be quoted a higher price… Instore they (legally) cannot do that "if" the item is physically on the shelf with an identical product code..

    • Isn't 30% off $119 - $35.70 = 83.30

      • of RRP

      • Check the photo link, they have a list of how much you can get.

    • -6

You wont get the cashback offer at $119. I just spoke to the cashback hotline.

  • +3

Lets see what dick can do this weekend's 40% off keyboard/mice/headphones etc.
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/70725

    • Oh you wicked..

    • You better off go to MSY, like MS Desktop 5000 they are doing $149.99 after 40% still more expensive than MSY.

      • On the MSY catalogue, it says the Microsoft Cordless Desktop 5000. Would that be the same as the Comfort 5000?

        • I'll respond to my own question, yes. yes it is. Also i took the last one on display at North Melbourne MSY. Sorry guys, but call up they might have stuff out back.

    • I was thinking exactly the same thing, need a better mouse

  • mmm…how about do a price match between MSY/officeworks, then get the cashback….kaching muhahahaha

    • Yes that's what I am thinking to do.

  • 30% off recommended retail price guys… assuming you have to buy it at recommended retail price or they'll only cash-back the difference until you reach 30%?

    • +1

No, Cash Back on RRP doesn't mean you have to buy it at RRP.

That is what use to be, I bought 360 wireless headset for $5 and get $10 cash back. So MS doesn't care how much you bought it.

        • +1

You must be the first time with MS cash back. I did so many times.

Because I bought from our supplier directly for myself and get cash back from MS.

No where in the T&C say that.

        • WRONG

        • -4

Nope, not my first time with cashbacks from MS.
I just spoke to the cashback hotline… feel free to call them on 1800 233 033 to confirm.

        • No, you don't need to pay full rrp to get the cashback. This is the same with their xbox accessories cashback, doesn't master what you paid for it

        • Belistic, So how much you bought last time and what is the RRP and how much you got back?

          How long ago?

        • So you definitely can get the cashback if you buy direct from a distributor? It doesn't have to be a Bricks/Mortar store?

        • +1

Of course make a invoice to myself, so not direct from distributor.

        • Ah righto, thanks.

        • Have you even read the T&Cs?
NOWHERE does it say you must PAY RRP to get the cashback offer, the cashback value is based on RRP.

The only sad face I have is this part in the T&Cs:

Only 1 claim per person is eligible to receive the Offer.

        • Would that be 1 claim per person/name or 1 per registered address/household though?

    • in the past the rebate is fixed regardless of how much you paid at 'partner stores;.
should check in this promo's t&c.

  • +4

The Good Guys have a small range of M$ hardware too…hmmm…price match using gift cards, then another 30% cash back on RRP…I like :)

    Wireless Desktop 800 = $6.50

    Wireless Desktop 3000 = $17

    Wireless Mobile Mouse 1000 = $5.50

    Lifecam HD-3000 = $8

    • How did you get the desktop 3000 at $17?

      • Advertised as $70 at TGG…minus 20% using gifts cards = $56…minus $39 cashback = $17.

  • +2

I still have mice and keyboards from the last MS promo.. Unopened and unwanted

  • Get in quick on pricematches. OW HO regularly check this site to adjust their prices.

    • Do you see them wandering around ?

      • Only if you squint. They're not actually contributing anything, just trawling to make sure they don't get caught out with a price match frenzy.

    • HOTLINE didn't know what they are talking about.

        • +3

Don't mislead people if you don't know, I have claimed so many time.

        • +10

Belistic stop posting, ive only got 2 negs left!

        • I ran out because of him :'(

    • Belistic, think about this - You walk into OW, ask a sales to "Price Match" it to RRP for you, and get a cash back? This doesn't make sense!

    • Not sure what to believe.. Friend also called up and they said COTD is a valid retailer.. hmm..

    • Nothing about you needing to buy at RRP in the T&C, ring again and get someone who knows what they are talking about

    • +1

In the past I have NEVER paid RRP for the microsoft cashback promos. As their terms and conditions state:

"2. The Offer is only valid for customers who have purchased eligible Microsoft Hardware product (as described below) from any eligible retailer in Australia during the Promotional Period."

It says nothing about purchasing the item at RRP. All I can say is that if you are not happy with the "risk" don't buy anything. I'll have a look through and see what bargains can be had, but like others here I think I have enough microsoft hardware from the last cashback promo (I really need to ask my self the question "Do I really need it or is it just too good a price to not buy one?)

      • +1

Except big retailers whoever sell RRP?

  • If someone can let me know best wireless mouse+keyboard deal, i'll be greatful.

The Arc mouse seems pretty crazy.

    • Normally I would prefer Logitech but with cash back I will consider the Desktop 5000.

  • Anyone know the best place/price for an ergonomic mouse? I have a basic one that isn't big enough for my hand, gets uncomfy pretty quickly.

    • I would like to know too. Don't want the keyboard + mouse set; just want a comfy mouse. Not interested in the arc touch since my fingers are already tired enough with using touch screen devices.

    • +1

Logitech M950. Sometimes Logitechshop sell it for $55

      • Not bad, but for that price I may as well get the Microsoft keyboard + mouse package which would be $60

    • I'm thinking to get this one myself:

      http://www.digitalstar.com.au/microsoft-3kj-00005-touch-mous…

Plus the $20.99 cash back, I reckon is bargain!

  • Would they accept purchases from MSY or other computer stores?

    • No problem

      T&C here.

To make a claim you need to:

Purchase any eligible Microsoft hardware product from any participating Australian retailer between 24.5.2012 and 5.7.2012. Participating Australian retailers include, but are not limited to Dick Smith, Bing Lee, Retravision, Myer, David Jones, Betta Electrical, The Good Guys, Officeworks, JB HiFi and Harvey Norman. Purchases made from auction websites, back-orders and products awaiting arrival/delivery are not eligible for this promotion.

    • Shouldn't make any difference, a purchase is a purchase

    • +1

Past MS cashbacks accept purchases from MSY (also from all non-gray-import retailers). This was confirmed by calling the MS help line as well as from actual purchasing experience.

  • Does MS hardware consist of xbox hardware as well?

    • Only 2 controllers:

      https://www.microsoft.com.au/hardwarecash/products.html

Cash back for Xbox 360 Accessories and Kinect Sensor ended a few weeeks back:

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/66228

      • Question is…who has the best price for a Wireless 360 controller for Windows and is a Brick n Mortar store??

        • umart.com.au
          $55

        • Does anyone know if ordering online from ozgameshop.com would be allowed for this promotion?

They have the "Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller For Windows Black PC" in stock with Free shipping for $40.99.
          http://www.ozgameshop.com/xbox-360-accessories/microsoft-xbo…

With the discount of $26.99, it would take the final price down to $14 dollars.

        • I don't think so if outside Australia because you have to scan the invoice and mail to them.

        • Edit: Seems you just need a legit ABN for cash back to work

  • Does one claim per person mean one item per person or can you have more than one on the same receipt?

  • +2

    Arbitrage possible:
http://www.megabuy.com.au/microsoft-basic-optical-mouse-p176… sells at $1.11. Rebate is $5.99 according to the list. Shipping is costly, but I would make $57 on an order of 30 mice, but what would I do with 30 mice?
If you do this, make sure they have the mice in stock - backorders don't get the rebate.
And if you end up with 30 mice and $57, send me one ;-)

    • +1

One claim per person, not sure if you can use the same receipt for 30 claims.

  • Anyone else notice the RRP for Lifecam HD-6000 is $499.95 but cashback is $29.99? =\

    • I've been wondering the same thing. The actual RRP is supposed to be $129.99 BTW.

  • +1

Or you can just buy Logitech.. which is usually on special..

  • Sidewinder X3 is $28 at Umart. Cashback is $24. Good mouse for $4 depending on if Umart is eligible for cashback

  • what is the OW refund policy like these days ???

maybe do are return after claiming cashback ?

    • -1

Thoughts like that get you in jail, easy to trace via your bank account.

      • -1

    As per forum post

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/70819

eStore (aka CitySoftware) have some good prices to go with this promotion

    http://www.estore.com.au/Microsoft-Hardware-Specials.aspx

  • Just bought the basic Wireless keyboard combo at the good guys for only $8 after the gift card discount and rebate.

  • Good rebate, but not really interested in anything from the list.

  • The Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 R.R.P is $149.99 with $44.99 cash back from Microsoft.

Searching StaticIce I've found that you can buy the mouse for $35 and theoretically, after submitting the cash-back offer, make $10 profit and a free mouse!

    http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Mobile+Memory+M…

    • Has to be from a brick and mortar store though. And some stores aren't involved in the promotion.

Double check before you start a goddamn ponzi scheme lol.

    • All obscure stores, not going to work.

    • yes thats why i brought the last one. just hope MS accept gamedude purchases? i also got the ms lifecam vx5000 from DSE mega centre then price matched it a RT Edwards for $14.95. btw if there are any more items that you can make a profit on please do share the name of the places.

  • +21

Spreadsheet with all of the items on the cashback list along with RRp, cashback and lowest price according to staticice:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhLNuzxfLNiudDh…

Still cleaning it up a bit but it gives you a good rundown.

    • +1

      Nice work broseph.

    • +1

You have the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000 at $34, it should be $94. StaticICE is showing Centre Com's deal after cashback, it says on the page you have to pay $94.

  • +1

Ah this scam again. I love it. I remember years ago HT (Harris Tech) had the expensive kb for cheap and we got heaps of them and got cashback on em too

    Good times

    • +1

I was hoping this deal wouldn't come back, now we will be wasting hours trying to squeeze the most out of it.

    • Hey turd, ccrap remembers that deal too. It was for the entertainment desktop 8000s. I still have and use mine :)

  • Tempted to buy a key/mouse combo but i havent really used MS peripherals for years at least not at home. Always found logitech far superior, maybe i should try MS again?
