For the record, I didn't neg you. People are quite frustrated with the system and likely a bit jealous that you actually got a great product for virtually nothing.

Unfortunately my friend, it's a common problem. The speed at which some items are selling out is astounding when you consider how people can complete the entire process, including loading the different pages from selection to checkout to confirmation, in what seems 5-10 seconds, considering the speed of the website when a new item is shown.
They say perseverance pays off, in your case I hope so mate. Goodluck!

are you using paypal or credit card because when i go to checkout with paypal it just tells me the item is out of stock every time

Purchased something yesterday just so I can have the CC details saved on the phone (you still have to enter in CVV every time though), as I've not used their app before. I've increased my clicking times so that I can get through the whole process, minus waiting for server response, in about 7 seconds (usually still not fast enough to get anything with under 50 quantity).
I've also set a timer for 15 seconds before the next deal, just to keep me alert and used Siri to do it, to keep things interesting.
Haven't found a pattern about when to refresh yet - sometimes it works a bit earlier, sometimes it works after it reaches 0 and disappears.
I've tried using iphone app for it couple of times. When the counting-down time reached zero, then screen went blank, and then when it's reloaded, it's sold out already. I didn't have even one single chance to click the button. How could you manage to get that?

The add to cart button doesnt respond at all, while you can click on other links around the site and it will load them. Anyone else find that?
This is ridiculous. How can you compete with those people using the iphone app with all their shipping and payment details already saved. All they have to do is tap on a few buttons and done.

hahaha i've been there about 25 times so far today…it's a load of bull…doesn't take long to calculate $0.01c :P
I think the delay at this stage is the server trying to figure out what response to give for an item that's already sold out, as when "calculate shipping" has been really quick for all the items I've managed to get so far.

I'm pretty sure I could of done better with an iPhone (general concensus seems to be that the iPhone app is quicker/contacts the site quicker) but I've gotten the Nespresso Machine, Spyro Skylanders, Dora Earphones (CHYES!!!!!!) and a pair of those coffee mugs.

weird thing is i can't even click on 'add to cart'. It shows up as a clickable link but doesn't do anything when i click on it. And yes, all done within that 1 second timeframe. Hmm.
I had the same prob on my Laptop, better results on SGSIII and iphone app on the ipad.
This will only work on an IOS device running the cotd app. The browser is being effected way more by traffic then the app. You have more chance of winning if you have bought an item previously as your credit card details are saved. A guy at my work won the lego board game and a 19" led samsung tv.
Spewing I don't own an iphone cause I know I would win at least one thing with this method.
