Love it or Hate it!
This time, at least they are letting us know the quantity of the items!

Quote from their website:

We couldn't have done it without you, so on our sixth birthday we didn't want to celebrate with anyone except YOU. How are we going to celebrate together? Free stuff! Why not? Everyone loves something free, and when its time to celebrate nothing beats a giveaway. Here’s the rundown:

  • We'll be giving away $150,000 worth of goods for 12 hours, with one item featured every 10 minutes, one freebie every 10 minutes means a total of 72 giveaway opportunities
  • Every item will have different quantities in stock, you can see the stock availability for each item below (scroll down!)
  • Just pay 1 cent shipping (this is a system restriction - relax scrooge!)
  • The party starts at a mystery time on Wednesday 31st October, the starting time will be announced on email, Facebook and twitter so make sure you subscribe / like / follow us below, or you'll miss the beginning.

PS: I probably shouldn't have to post this deal as it would mean more competition from fellow ozbargainers!

mod - Note: they will be requiring you to agree to receive emails from them, daily, before they will let you onto the site, today

I have no idea how but I somehow managed to get a Nintendo 3DSXL. Still expecting them to send another email to take back there one confirming it. Have been trying all day and I am completely shocked that it went through. It really must all be the luck of the draw. I must be getting old, I can remember there first birthday sale and sitting there refreshing the page! Did it all on the web too!

    • What speed internet do you have? What browser? And finally did you have your credit card prefilled?

      • +1

Google Chrome and I copied my credit card number in from note pad. Know the other numbers and just entered em in. Not sure how fast it is sorry.

I've been trying all day though and it is the only one I got through for. I do seem to get further through the process if they are deals from twitter or facebook though. The others are always gone straight away.

          Thanks

Any way to save your payment details if you've never purchased? Am certain same people are winning over and over again as once you make one purchase your credit card deets are saved and you can complete transaction quickly. Been able to add to cart 4 times thus far but fail here as not fast enough to transact. Need something where there's 5000 available just to get that initial purchase so it can save my details. The rule should be that once you add to cart it's yours - not once you complete payment otherwise there's no chance!

  • So close, said confirming then out of stock gay…

Goddam it again, I got to the confirm order part, but it said it was sold out.

  • Aaand it's over…

Looks like they ran out of stuff at the end, with the last item being Village movie tickets.
    It wasn't on the list!

  • Like the majority of people out there, I caught nothing…so no after party for me. I do await to read all the after bash COTD is going to get from disgruntled people who have been disadvantaged by their system today…

  • Tried all day and no luck completing the process. Should have bought something the day before and saved CC details. Their servers are not built to handle this volume. I have seen a-lot of comments from peeved people today.

  • I think having a raffle would have been better for COTD and saved hundreds of thousands of man hours of disgruntled customer's time.

  • who got the iphone5?

  • Well at least most of us got the mystery gift yesterday, hopefully the item is something from the birthday bash, ipad? we Do deserve it since all the hard work from today for 12h lol, only tried 1h and gave up.

I totally ignored this one. Didn't even bother. No bigger waste of time.

    • you are one smart cookie :-)

  • I tried for a few items, then realised it was all a big joke and gave up….

  • Total waste of time for the 99.9999999% of people trying to buy something.
