I think so, I imagine it's the same case with the $1-$500 bonus where the $5 doesn't count.

With cashbacks getting cancelled, i'd just buy a $5 gift card and apply the monthly voucher and then buy a separate $10 card to get the $3.

Reward gets issued within 5-10 minutes. Go to Earn More > Reward Issued > Bonus $3 Amazon Gift Card and copy the link/paste into browser to get your $3 gift card. Gift card has no expiry, but the link does. Interestingly, it said the gift card was issued in 2023.

Looks like they don't email you the $3 bonus gift card.
And it's not under the purchased gift card wallet section in the app.
You have to go to Earn More -> Reward Issued and tap the challenge to find your $3.
Top of app under earn more is a rewards button where they are all saved (in iphone). Also under account tab, there is a rewards tab with them all saved .

So I got one reward - the purchase $10 get $3 but not the Amazon one - I clicked on both and purchased the Amazon one after I clicked on the link for the amazon reward…not sure I am prepared to risk buying another amazon gift card..lol
Same with me too, it's been over an hour - 7:20am GC cashback tracked, 8:22am GC cashback confirmed, around 8:43am this other promo tracked and reward issued, but not this $3 Amazon GC one.

Perhaps. Made the purchase around 6am, this bonus cashback only tracked at 9am. Base cashback tracked and got confirmed within 10 mins.

Update: at some point in the last half hour…
(1) tracking on the challenge updated to show partial spend as per this comment above, which took me by surprise that it's not taking promo codes into account into this challenge and only considers a raw $30 cash-equivalent spend (pretty sure in previous GC challenges it took the subtotal/GC amount purchased as opposed to the cash-equivalent paid… but I could be wrong. It did for this other challenge I mentioned above).
(2) cashback for Amazon GCs went up from 1.5% earlier this morning to now 2.5%, and…
(3) there's about a quarter of the "limited rewards" left according to the challenge update wheel. Made another cash-equivalent spend on Amazon GCs, hopefully that'll track in time.
Hope this helps someone trying to claim the last few rewards in this challenge.

Correction on point (1) above - checked the order details for the other challenge, turns out another purchase tracked there and triggered challenge completion. Whoopsie for the false-positive.
On using promo codes (like the SB+ voucher) to purchase GCs to satisfy challenge requirements, it seems the go now is that SB only factor in the cash-equivalent spend less any promo codes/vouchers used? No more double-dipping I guess…
@tinniness: I just got told I didn't meet the challenge requirements because I used my available Cashback balance to partially pay for the $30 GC. Since when did the cash-equivalent spend become a thing? It's not clearly stated in the T&Cs too.

Made purchase at 9.16 am and deal was still showing as ongoing after the purchase. Cashback tracked instantly, but notification for Spend $10 came 2 hours late and this deal didn't apply at all. Can store rep comment, please?

Same here. When I purchased, about half were still available, but now it shows all rewards claimed and not tracked. Hopefully the SB rep can fix this.
its funny how even buying a gift card inside their OWN app has such tracking delays…causing issues like this
If not outright misleading, it's at least an intentional laziness to not improve the tracking in this case because they benefit from the delayed tracking.
No doubt there was some glitch with the Amazon one. Purchased around 5 mins before someone and they received the $3 GC but nothing on mine. The promo seems to have just disappeared into the Amazon like my dad when he went to get milk.
