The more you buy the more you save

      • -1

        Thanks bought 10

      • Essentially unlimited free money when you think carefully about it.

        • My brain just exploded

  • -3

Buy 2x 75inch and you get 150inch for a fraction!

    • +24

You will need to buy 4 x 75" TV's to make the same size as a 150" TV. Screen size is measured diagonally.

      • -8

Yea, know this …but then its logic not sarcasm! prefer the sarcasm way, lose all impact saying buy 4. ok now you can NEG!!

        • Do not stress, I just saved you from a neg vote

      • what kind of math is that ?

    • +1

Or use 2x 75” in a diy vr headset for maximum immersion

  • +3

    1999 prices for 50" plasma!

  • +3

100kg? There must be a very hefty steel frame reinforcing this thing….. Which is a good sign.

    The 55" is only 13kg.

    • +1

It's 4.4 times the screen area…and considering that the dimemsions mean there'd be a lot more bending and twisting if it only had the same frame structure…. it makes sense.
If it was much lighter it would mean warning warning dr smith!

    • +3

I am more wondering about the 130kg packaging it sits in. Must be a solid wood box.

      • +3

Will it fit in my Camry to take it home?

        • Only if it sticks out of the window.

  • +6

Bought 6. Thanks for the great deal.

  • +4

Bought 1 for the spare bedroom thanks

From my experience, tcls last about 3 years at best, so that's over 5k per year oooffftt, if your tcl has lasted longer than 3 years good for you, but I haven't had one last past that mark …big investment for a unreliable brand IMO

    • I got a tcl like 5 years ago that still works and is used daily.

  • +2

Recently helped dad mount his 98inch TCL.
At 60kg that was a handful and I was glad it was going into solid brick.
I couldn’t imagine trying to wall mount a 100kg tv, and it would be terrifying having it stand unsecured on a TV unit

  • $15k gets you a freaking masterpiece of a projector.

Im an advocate for a big TV but these seems like a lot of price premium for the extra size.

    • Yeh surely you can get laser UST with a light rejection screen for less than this and still be able to watch it during the day.

Guess the brag ain't as effective tho.. :D

Bought one for my toilet, thanks OP!

On a more serious note, it's cheaper here:

    • Get a bonus 10% back in gift cards.
    • Well spotted.

Even a cursory google search reveals this deal is not remarkable right now - it's about this price at all the majors.

Your HN one is ~$100 cheaper, plus ~$1600 in gift cards, plus delivery to regional Tasmania is $59.

Ah too bad it's on back order, I need it now.

I can actually afford this but it means the kids won't eat (much) over the next few months.

    • +14

The kids have had food before, but they've never had a 115" TV, give them the new experience.

  • +1

Will wait for boxing day 2027

  • +1

This will be my next upgrade I think. 98" is settling in well but we actually watch a 15yr old plasma more

    • I actually feel like if I buy a giant TV for the lounge room I'll end up putting the current TV in the bedroom and will end up watch that more

      • Yep this is exactly what happened with us. But winter in Melbourne also doesn't make it inviting to sit downstairs in the living room

  • 98" is <$5K for the next model up the C8K when on sale seems a much better buy for a big TV.

    • +1

Of course. But pushing the limits at a consumer level is expensive. Look at expensive laptops, expensive monitors, expensive cars, etc. There's always a better buy for 80% or 90%. For those who don't care about diminishing returns, or who can afford the extra, at least the product exists.

Same weight as my 100” thats been mounted on my wall for about 3 years now. I’m leaving it in my house when I sell it.

The boxes these come in are huge, It’s a pellet that won’t fit under standard ceilings so keep that in mind if anyone is considering getting one of these. Also if not wall mounting it you need to seriously consider using safety straps, wouldn’t want to is falling on your kids.

    • -1

Kids or the TV…. Not both :p

    • "won’t fit under standard ceilings" ???

  • And deals on squat racks to mount this too?

  • -2

This price is not a bargain

  • +1

Thanks OP, got one for the toilet

  • -1

    Thought this was a car

  • -1

    Has technology gone too far?

    • No never, it’s the fact that prices are coming down for certain tech is telling.

  • +2

I shall stick with my 130 inch screen and my $1500 Epson false 4k refurbished projector for now..but it is excellent to see tech is progressing and TV sizes are catching up

    • Yeah same here, Hisense px3 and 150”

I’m sure this 115” is great but that price is insane

  • Kids rumpus room TV sorted! They won’t care that it was heavily discounted.

  • Wtf is in the box to add 130kg?

  • I’ll stick with my 150” screen and Hisense PX3

    But thanks anyway op 👍

  • +1

Hmm. 🤨 I need a spare 16k to upgrade my 98inch C755. My wall begging bigger

  • Imagine carrying that 229.3 kg box lmao and its basically 100kgs with no box
