The FiiO E10 is FiiO's newest 96k/24bit USB audio decoder (DAC) headphone amplifier. The E10 both replaces PC on-board sound cards as the primary audio decoder, which can lead to an increase in audio quality, as well as provide high quality sound amplification and drive high-powered high-end headphones. The E10 is best described as being both a professional-quality headphone amplifier as well as an external USB sound card.

Change the currency to AUD (from USD) on the top right of the page if you want it in AUD.

Great little desk DAC/AMP combo for cheap, plus it's so cute on the desk :P. Free 2 day shipping makes it an even better bargain.

  • How does this compare with the E17?

    • From what I've read on head-fi, other than the fact that the E10 has more power (mainly due to it being plugged in on the desk) and that the E17 is portable, nothing too major. Worth mentioning that people reported that the E17 sounded better, but that's very objective (specially considering there's quite a price difference).

      • Thanks Rep. I have the E17 and have been pretty happy with it.
Are you able to do a deal on the cables so that i can plug it into my Cowon J3?

I'm not a rep lol, that says REF as in referral haha.

haha doh! - can you do me a bargain on new glasses then?

    • +1

The big difference for me is that the E10 doesn't appear to take inputs other than USB, which means you can't run TV, Hifi, etc through it. E17 is portable and has analog / optical inputs. And is about twice the price…

On sound quality, Heafi's got heaps of discussions but theyz all pretty insane. Probably wouldn't notice a difference in the real world.

This person thinks the E17 is better. http://www.headfonia.com/the-upgrade-fiio-e17-alpen/

      Big difference is the price.

      • lol at "and is about twice the price …"

i paid $120 for E17 with a pair of free Brainwavz Beta from MP4Nation including shipping.

i dont have e10, but read too many comments from the owner of e17 or both recommended e17 highly.

I have both. E17 is audibly better, no issues driving any cans, some treble / bass control, no issues with volume pot that can become noisy.

      IMO, spend the little more.

  • Noisy Motel and AddictedtoAudio have these both for $75 delivered.

EDIT: sorry, didn't read the title. This is a bargain.

  • I got mine from http://www.addictedtoaudio.com.au/FiiO-E10-USB-DAC-Headphone… and it is a great little DAC + Headphone Amp…. but no deal as it is 74.95 from them including shipping. Looks to be a std price to me

…well it is $74.50 for this "deal" so you would save 45 cents…..

    • That's AUD vs USD :P.

Needa change the currency top AUD on the top right.

I'd much rather deal with an Australian seller (i.e. Addicted to Audio or Noisy Motel) than one overseas for such a small difference in price.

        • mp4 nation have Great warranty practice. Replaced my M2's after 1 side stopped working, only cost me the shipping back to HK.

  • E10 apparently has an issue where it chops off a tiny amount of the start of new sounds. So for example the clicky sounds when you navigate around your Windows OS or if you skips music tracks etc.
It's one of the reasons I went the more expensive route and went the E17(which they fixed the issue for). Of course you can get a slightly downgraded version of the E17 which is the E07K, which like the E17 is completely portable(ie. has L-io battery) so you can use it as a portable headphone amp for your ipod etc.

  • Hi, could someone please explain this to me. I was gifted a DT250 80 ohms recently and use it through my desktop at home through audio jack. I dont find them as good. Would a portable amp like this help?

    Also how does connection work?

My current setup is line out from logitech 2.1 to desktop and Dt250 line into the logitech. pic below.
    any help is appreciated.
