Saw this poster at my local Hungry Jack's in Sydney. On Wednesday 1 May 2013, try the new "Big Cheese burger with 100% Australian flame-grilled beef" for $1.

Edit 3 (T&C from HJ FB): Offer valid from 12.00am through 11.59pm, Wednesday 1 May 2013. Limit one $1 burger per customer. Not valid with any other offer. Available only at participating Hungry Jack’s® stores.

Since I cannot find this deal mentioned on HJ's web site and FB, so I cannot tell you if this is Sydney-wide, State-wide, or Nation-wide. The poster does not mention a purchasing limit. I wonder if I can buy 10 for $10?

Edit 2: The deal has been confirmed in Melbourne and Adelaide, so we can assume this is nationwide. Thanks for your reports.

    No limit at bourke st store in Melbourne. Just the two for me. Biggest order j saw was 5.

    eating 3 right now.a sprinkling of onion(3-4 bits), 1 slice of cheese,1 meat patty and a fat sweet bun. mustard sauce + mayo sauce + tomato sauce. 1 buck. its alright and worth a buck or two. definitely not worth the 4.99 listed posters on the wall though, *Mod: Foul language *

    Hungry Jacks opposite Melbourne Central are ripping people off! They're selling plain small cheeseburgers (literally just meat and cheese) and limiting it to two per person.

      to make it worse, I went there at 5pm, waited in the long queue, only to be told they are "sold out". How can they be sold out if the ingrediants are in the store. Isn't it just a regular patty and some cheese or whatever. I was so annoyed.

      Not only that, put a freaking sign up if its "sold out"

    I didn't think they would be that big so I ordered 5 of them and a large frie's

    Could only manage 3of them and the frie's

    Dog will be happy as he's getting the other 2

      A stupid thing to say but you obviously got your way.

      I doubt a claim would make it pass the front counter at your local small claims court. No Registrar is going to award you anything except a big pile of FO and then you've done your filing fees dough.

      Are you American with an entitlement mentality like that?

    I had 3. 2 were good but the last one didn't have enough sauce. My ones also had the white onions - not the red ones. Pretty good price for a dinner :)

    Went in with my friend to Southern Cross Store, both queued up. I got served and asked for 2, paid and was waiting for them. My friend ordered only to be told that there was 1 per customer. I mentioned that I just paid for 2 and FB page said that there was 4 per customer per visit. Chick did not look very impressed, spoke to the manager and got told to put through the order. Then my order chick told me they were running out of ingredients…

    Got home to find normal onion instead of red onion, good value for $1, but wouldn't pay normal price. Although I think they will be $4.95 with a Sundae, chips and a drink (from what I saw on the poster, kinda like a Stunner Deal) at which point they will be good value.

      The price I saw was around ~$9 for a small meal with the thick chips, lemonade and a sundae. Definitely not $4.95.

    The BBQ big cheese is way better than the normal big cheese. There's so much ketchup and mustard in the normal one.
    Had 5 of them today, also 5 more in the fridge :D
