But I only have 2.0 ears?

      Dear Muncan,

      You insensitive bastard!

      Sincerely,
      Chopper Read

    • Lol @ 2.0! Luckily 2.0 is all you need. These are virtual 7.1. I dont know how they can call a "wireless stereo headset" (from Sony site), with what I'm guessing is one speaker over each ear, 7.1 surround. Back in my day, 7.1 meant 7 channels/speakers + 1 sub (.1). If anyone can explain it better, I'm all ears :-)

I know…but who knows when COTD has the sale again……..

I swear you also wrote: "cheapest in Australia I've ever seen." Something along those lines. Glad you edited it out.

        • cheapest atm :)

  • These are really good, but they do take up a USB spot in your ps3 for the adaptor, good luck getting a price like COTD's again

Yep, that was a bargain price. I didn't even know i needed a set of headphones that day… :0 Have only used it for audio, not chat, but comfy and great sound. Certinally worth it for $59.95 (delivered) For $99 not 'bargain' territory, but not bad.

  • These are the older version, there's a newer Pulse Elite version.

    • What's the difference? Pretty sure they just change the packaging

      • +1

The newer version has a 'rumble pack' built into it to vibrate when the bass hits, apparently its pretty awesome!

Panasonic had the VMSS portable CD players with vibrating headphones back in the 90's, so it's not really anything new.

This was the CD player: http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/7/1/0/6/5/3/webimg/66058097…

and these were the headphones it came with: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_9Yb6r-521Vs/TDW8k5A2DBI/AAAAAAAADC…

I recall it being a bit of a gimmick. Will have to see if I can find it in some old storage boxes. Don't know where to start looking though haha

        • The Pulse version also lets you plug in a 3.5mm jack into the USB receiver so you can pretty much about listen to anything like ipod etc. You can plug in the USB receiver to your iDevice charger if you don't want to take up a USB port on your PS3 or PC.

These are really comfy! They just seem to fit so well! And the wireless is great! Haven't had any dropouts or anything yet and i've been using them for a while. The only thing I have noticed is that there is a small bit of noise (hiss) when it's quiet, which you wont notice when somethings playing, but it is noticeable when they are on and nothing's playing…..

Might be worth getting the pulse for a little extra though at this price! (Think they're only $150? Could be wrong….)

  • i use it to play god of war collection (gow 1, exactly) these days. it is really good with flaw!! if i walk away from the tv back to my room to pick up sth (only like 5 meters away), the connection may drop out. fortunately, it reconnects pretty quickly. for the price (i got the cotd deal), it is very handy. however, i definitely wont pay more than $100 for it. ($94.57 is still too much imo:P)

  • I opened my COD ones to use on PC .. didn't work in my set up due to interference. Wore them for all of about 10 seconds. Will post for $50 to someone if they're interested. PM me

  • thats the normal proice at ozbargain. Pretty sure you can get it for cheaper.

    • Xbox vs ps3
