How do the original wii games look on this new console?
I believe the Wii U actually upscale or output at 720/1080P for msot games. The old Wii, with the HDMI adapter just stretches and forces resolution - i.e. Skyward Sword should defintely look better.
Why isn't nintendo publishing more games on this?
they want to spend more time perfecting their games like pikmin 3

Not knocking the deal here but people should be wary buying the wii-u.
There are seriously no games out for it right now and the ones that are out are pretty poor. The price is bound to come down in the future and you can get it then when it is cheaper and they have more of a library.
Otherwise you will have a nice dust collector like my wii-u
