I've been on the hunt for a gaming console, either a PS5 or an Xbox, and I just found one that's a bit cheaper than the others available right now.

Basically makes this $750
Aka launch price 😔
I know used isn’t for everyone, though it’s worth mentioning that an OG PS5 with a disc drive is $620 at Cex with a 5 year warranty. Getting the digital version was a mistake - at least with the newer model you can add a disc drive later though.
Geezus, that's close to the amazon pre order price almost 5 years ago….
The below bundle was a great deal at the time, this is not readily available anymore though with tarrifs having increased the no game disc console RRP to $829.95.
That proper crazy hey
5 year warranty is great - Last year I had to fight EB to repair my disc drive just out of warranty and the drive is playing up again.
I think I would prefer buying $620 with 5 year warranty than new! (for disc models)
Just buy on marketplace. So many hardly used ones.
Don't do this. No warranty. No ACL coverage. Tons of issues with overheating, CE-108255-1 errors, banned consoles, defective drives etc. People are flogging them off for a reason.
My launch one died outside of warranty, thank goodness for ACL to get me a replacement free of charge. I wouldn't touch used.
Didn't Sony increase prices worldwide recently to compensate for US tariffs? Hasn't come through yet?
Tbh the tariffs are a real shit show. I've been getting stuff through the US and nobody says anything or collects. I don't even think the law/process has been written for people to do their jobs yet. Or perhaps it such a joke they've left it as a draft in case the chief has another big brain idea and changes the number again.
Shipping is going through the roof though so something will hit eventually. Going to be a great Christmas!
Its tariff's on goods imported into the US…… Not from the US
Given @plmko is talking about buying from the US, once things are imported to US tariffs will be part of the cost base. So aussies buying from US something that was imported is going to become uneconomical.
@havabeer: Tariffs are in place for goods going into the US - if you re-read what he is saying, he says nobody is collecting etc - he is talking about exports.
I work in product management/procurement - tariffs existed long before Trump - all he has done is raise tariffs and added some new ones. The mechanism for collecting tariffs already exists. With plmko talking about not being collected and law/process not being written yet - just shows they are talking about exports as they don't know what they are talking about.
Yes they did, in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
We are subsidising the lucrative US market for Sony.
Is this good for diablo immortal?
Don't you have a phone?
not the same. I want to pwn n00bs and was told by developers to both invest in monthly packs and a good gaming setup. I recently brought a 5080 but blizz told me ps5 even better.
You would get this for Diablo 4..
Those Black Friday Fortnite bundle and other PS5 deals from 2024 are looking like real bargains compared to these prices.
Terrible deal. For same price, there was disk edition with Astrobot
This is terrible. I swear this is how much i paid for the PS5 Slim Disc console from Big W during last years Black Friday.

You'll want a disc drive add-on though if you don't want to pay the ridiculous digital games prices.
