Interesting, I bought mine a year after selling PC because I missed PC gaming. It’s sufficient enough for me. And with GeForce NOW it’s the ultimate gaming device.
Why GeForce now and not just play said game natively?
I do that also, but being able to crank games at max setting and utilise the 1600p screen natively in your hand is a phenomenal experience. But yes, emulation and older titles run really well on the machine itself.
i'd do this if i didnt have a lousy fttn
Ahhhh yes a grand generational problem left to us not once but twice from Liberal governments.
People forget that John Howard actually shot down Telstra for their suggestion of a FTTN network back in 2003-4.
Granted it would be behind current tech but it was decent back in 2000s.
Luckily the Liberals came back again to sabotage the FTTP plans so they could win marginal seats and dumpster Australia with crap internet for another decade…
Given the absolute trash state of their party leadership I'm guessing we won't hear anything from those idiots for a decade or so hahahaha
@Telios: Unless Labor threatens to fix housing hoarding by changing negative gearing laws again like Shorten did.
This handheld space seems to be moving so quick! They're really gaining momentum this year. Especially as the switch 2 is so close in price
Personally I'm even going to cancel the switch 2 and buy a PC handheld. I'm going for the 370hx processor though. I think ally rog 2 just got leaked too.
But can we play sw2 games on pc handheld?
Probably won't take long for an emulator which you can install on a windows variant of these handhelds. You can't on steam deck afaik.
Rog 2 is the Z2 Extreme chip, which is basically a 370HX with less CPU cores (probably to keep the power/size down).
I'm super excited for it, if it's reasonably priced (or at the first decent discount) I'll replace my office PC with it. The handheld gaming part is just an added bonus, it's a pretty powerful machine.
this is pretty dated at this point for the price. needs to be sub $700
Yeah but it’s still really good at what it does, even compared to newer devices. Plus the versatility of the controllers is still unmatched. Only downside is battery life but you can use power banks or just leave it plugged in when at home.
Dated? lmao..no.. it's not.. you only perceive that it's dated..
Does anyone know how to adjust the controls to work in a game?
They work in every game automatically.. what do you mean?
sarcasm right??? I can't tell..
I am confused.
MSI Claw U7 down to $699
Thoughts?
Intel is shit. Pass.
Have loved mine! Way better graphics updates - depends on what you want to play but check the latest review; it's gone a long way and it's great bang for buck!
Yer that’s what I’m looking for
Don’t wanna play the big AAA games on it that are getting released as I use my PS5 & XSX for that. Just the games I get free with Epic and GOG. Is it capable of playing these games? They were once AAA games I guess when released awhile back. I don’t have a PC to play them so thought a handheld PC would be able to do what I wanna achieve and I don’t want to spend over $1k on a newer handheld
Should be fine -pretty much what I use it for, lol. I have been playing Hades II, It Takes Two, GTA V, Shadowrun series, etc. perfect for my needs!
Or wait for Go S on sale again for $999
Fun fact: processor on this is better than the go s
GO S seems a joke best to get the Steam Version of the GO S
I would get this over the go s.
However as we are pretty close to the z2e handhelds being officially announced I'm going to wait for them (and either buy a z2e or buy a z1e heavily discounted)
I think I’ll wait for the xbox handheld to come out. Reading it is made by asus with the ZE2
Quite powerful for its price, certainly beats Switch 2 in terms of raw power by a huge margin.
Pretty cool device.
I'm going to sell mine because it got me back into PC gaming so much that I bought a desktop gaming PC from Nebula.
Gateway tech.
