    Good price and nice idea, but the end product is bad. Some of the problems I found were:

    1. The touch surface can go crazy with infinite scroll depending on how you put your hand on it;
    2. You need to lift your index finger off the surface to perform a right-click;
    3. There is no middle-click;
    4. Touch-scrolling (to simulate vertical and horizontal wheel scroll) is imprecise. Either the scrolls do not register or you get too much.

    Instead of a premium mouse that I enjoy using everyday, it is relegated to my media server PC. I use it once a week and it is still painful.

      Thanks for saving me ~$20 bucks!

    • 20 bucks and a f* around to officeworks bondi!

    • As another person who purchased this, I agree with alvian. Nice idea. Poor implementation.

      Mine is …. somewhere, I don't even know where it is anymore. I forced myself to use it every workday to 3 months, tried in vain to like it - but just couldn't.

      Lack of configuration options in the drivers didn't help matters.

      This mouse sucks, I don't think Microsoft make any decent mice.

      • Some of their mice are just fine. The explorer series were particularly good.

          Well I have very limited experience with their mouses only used 2 in the last year and both have been very laggy/poor tracking.
          The first one was a cheaper one from a keyboard combo so I thought that could explain it but the second one wasn't a cheap one and it was much of a muchness.

        • Yes, the explorers are the best laptop mouse in the $30 price range.

      • I loved my MX5500. Especially considering I got the set for around $75 thanks to slickdeals.net a few years back.

        • The mouse is good in MX5500, but the keys on the keyboard starts rubbing off in a little over a year. Now after 2-3 years, I have 3 key caps with no prints left, and 2 with about 1/3 left.

  • Out of stock

  • Got one last time when MS had cash back on them for $3.50 out of pocket, end up returned after 2 months of ownership, too difficult to use.

  • Notice they got the Explorer Touch Mouse as well for $18.71. Anyone know if this is any good?

    • been using it for quite a while. doing a good job as a mouse. need a bit of feel and adjustment when scrolling.

      bought it off CPL for 15 bucks pick up. good mice for the price, considering the rrp was $50.

      if you are in melbourne this link could help save a couple of $$$.
