  • They are running a very cheesy TV advert for the TV - OMG! (who ever wrote the advert copy….WTF)

  • Nice find! Am very tempted…

  • Can't find the PVR anywhere on the links…hope someone point out for me,thnx

  • Does DS offer change of mind refunds for sealed products? I know they don't for anything opened or used..

I haven't bought from them since they changed their policy, but have read in various places online that some sealed products are returned for change of mind, but in others nothing is accepted. I also heard that the policy might have changed?

I've tried reading their returns policy, but I think it's one of the least user-friendly ones I've seen..

  • I own a 32" GE6606 DSE TV and it isn't bad but at the same time it isn't good. Let me explain.

    1. Picture and quality are nothing less than admirable. I'd say they aren't perfect but definitely not sub-standard.

    2. Whilst the TV gives me the option to upgrade firmware it seems Dick Smith doesn't even know what firmware is let alone how to provide firmware upgrades should a problem arise.

    3. There is overscan when connecting to a HTPC or laptop. For some reason PS3/Xbox360/Wii all connect fine as does a dvd player etc when connecting to HDMI but when Win7/Ubuntu/Linux Mint connect to TV there is overscan and edges of picture are cut off.

Overall a good TV perhaps less than average software with little to zero support but apart from that it's perfect for just watching TV/DVDs.

  • Would this be any good as a computer monitor?

  • Is this a good TV for xbox and wii as well as DVDs? I am thinking of getting one for the kids games room, thanks
