can anyone confirm the reliability of DWI? I've seen pretty mixed reviews about them, am I gonna have problems with warranty/delivery?
Anyone is better than DWI/eglobal! Try Kogan or Uniquemobiles if its only $20-30 more. Seriously not worth the hassle of dealing with these fraudsters! (Especially from their phone department which appears to have all the issues).

And if you do decide to take the risk, be sure to pay with Paypal, or at the very least, credit card, and if you have to return it (at your own cost) be sure to use a shipping method with BOTH tracking and a signature.
When I had to resort to filing a paypal claim because a repeatedly promised refund never eventuated, they had the hide to claim to paypal that they had not received the wrong phone that they had deliberately sent me (and others.)

Oh and if your going to point out companies reviews for people's considerations then point out all sources, consider DWIs eBay store 8836 positive votes over 12months compared to 44 negative, god you also have reviews on get price and shopping.com all highly positive, the great thing about these ones is you have to of purchased to actually leave a review unlike product review were any random can create an account and post which makes it a highly unreliable source and open to trolls etc.
Absolutely agree. It's good to be cautious when there are good deals floating around but we should also acknowledge that most stores have pretty poor reviews out there including places like Harvey Norman. I am not trying to blow smoke up my own rear - look at my previous posts, I post deals for other websites also.

Kogan and unique mobiles are far from perfect. I acknowledge many have had problems with them too. However at least there are some success stories of having warranty resolved and items replaced.
Have never seen a single one with dwi/Eglobal but heaps of horror stories.
Not all grey importers are the same. You're definitely going to get less service than buying local (thus the cheap price), but but having been personally stung by dwi.. Never again. Seems like I'm definitely not the only one.
I buy my camera grear with DWI and never had an issue. My old 7d went back for warranty couple years back, took a month to and fro, came back with a dirty sensor, but meh… i clean my sensors myself.
I don't know about the phone department…. but cameras are alright.

I bought an asus google 7inch tablet brand new, it arrived faulty. Would not charge or turn on. I had to get it replaced from asus Australia
I think its not them, Nexus 7 has been reported to have serious quality issues with hardware and the screen. Out of 4 friends, two of us had problems.
Asus agreed to replace it? Should it be grey import?

My lumia 920 also blows this out of water in performance. As someone said online, the S4 feels like a plastic dummy in a store. Really cheap build quality from what I checked. HTC One is a great option though.
How does it blow this out of the water in performance? Show me any benchmarks it's done better in, or a video with a side by side comparison.
Its the general performance of the UI. Its really fluid and snappy. The whole OS in windows phone is quite optimized and that's why they use a dual core processor instead of quad core as that's all whats needed. The only way to check it out is to test drive one yourself at a store. All android/IOS phones seem laggy and slow after using the lumia for six months to me.
DWI - Can't advise on phones but with camera & lens purchase, twice at different times from DWI both times I could not fault them so I am a fanboy. Both times I called the OZ number listed on the DWI website and confirmed stock before pressing the buy button. Delivered with tracking by FEDEX very quick service. The lens was a replacement to one I dropped on a job and needed it urgent, ordered on Sunday delivered by Thur! Just my personal experience and I would buy from them again. I know others here have stated problems but I was very happy with DWI.
