Yatango $10 Sim for 1k Minutes, 1k Text and 3GB for The First Month

60

Was on Spotify. They run on Optus 3G.

Rates appear to be a bit dearer than amaysim, but if you're just after the $10 sim for one month then I guess this is for you.

Edit: they're kinda like UK's giffgaff mvno, earn credit with referrals and on forums.

  • is this one of those offers where you provide your CC details and after 30 days if you forget to cancel then you are automatically put onto on of their monthly plans?

    • Hi there, we require your credit card details as a form of ID. However if you choose a Prepaid service for the trial, nothing will be charged to your credit card without your permission. After 30 days your service will change to Pay as you Go (no monthly plan) - so if you choose to stay with us you can build your own personalised plan. :) Team Yatango

  • From the FAQ:

There is no automatic renewal! If you decide you don't want to continue with Yatango after 30 days, simply remove your SIM and on you go. No hard feelings :)

Why do you need my Credit Card details?

Well this is a requirement of ours as a form of ID.

    How do I Top-Up?

As we have your credit card details securely stored for the duration of the trial, if you need to top-up. Simply login to your Dashboard online, click Top-Up and choose how much. Too Easy!

  • i have tried to register but failed too many times, after 2 steps a "Oops: Looks like we've encountered an error , Sorry, please try checking the URL for errors, then hit the refresh button on your browser" message has appeared.
    any clue? please help

    • hmm. looks like I'm having the same problem too. But in the meantime I've been playing around with customising the plan. They potentially could be cheaper than amaysim if you choose the slider accordingly. 200 min of call for $10 = 5c/min, if you go over then it'll be at 15c/min, compare that to the $20 amaysim plan for 9c/min.

  • Hi guys,

We had a slight lunchtime rush on our website and we apologise for the issues in signing up. We've been able to resolve the issue and our sign-up process is working as per normal and the server is behaving itself.

Please check out www.yatangomobile.com.au/freetrial for further information.

    Thanks :D Team Yatango.

    Hi guys,

This seem like a good deal but when signing up i was puzzled by the fine print "A $10 sim card fee & $50 secrurity deposite required" and when enterting my CC details it didnt show whats the total wil be charge, i dont want to pay $60 in total for this deal!

    • I thought it was a $20 refundable deposit. Afaik there was an expired deal with a $50 deposit though.

Edit: yeah on step 2 it said there is a $50 security deposit on the green banner, but below it it says "Upfront Payment: $10 SIM & $20 Refundable Security Deposit".

Tbh I haven't signed up yet, so can't tell for sure. But judging from the previous post I think they've reduced that to $20.

  • Thank you all, ordered one SIM for $10.24, great deal, i will try it then i will post another review.

    • Happy to hear your order went through Hardy. Welcome to the Yatango Community :)

$10 but If you go over the limits charged at payg rates? That sounds a bit suspicious are you wanting people to go over 3gb and then charge them in the trial 30 days? Please explain?

Not difficult to go over data if you do it does not update the usage on a regular basis and in my experience Optus has a lag. Also do you utilise the Optus 4g network as well as the 3G?

At least amaysim trial new customers has no hidden surprises up to two months after cancellation of the trial. I will be giving it a miss.

  • $10 deal is alright but if you play around the customisation it's not that cheap.I am paying Liveconnected $17 per month and get more values out for $30 per month plan on Yatango.

  • Hi guys,
If you choose to go on a Monthly Billing (Postpaid) service we do require a $20 security deposit (previously $50). If you exceed the Free Trial inclusions our standard pay as you go rates will apply for 15c a minute, 12c a SMS or 5c a MB. 4G is coming soon :)
    Thanks, Team Yatango
