    (i'm obviously not serious)

    • Radio station promotion perhaps?

    • +9

        Apparently our schools aren't though.

        • +4

Yes our youth are constantly distracted by the prospect of winning State of Origin.

If the new McChamp is anything like the new McGrilled I had yesterday, the rest of Australia aren't missing anything!

    • I tired the McGrilled too, if I had to have McDonalds for some reason, I'd choose it. Otherwise I'd try from Nandos, Grilled or even Oportos.

    • +1

Follow up on McGrill: grilled chicken maybe 3mm thick clearly squooshed flat in order to make the largest piece possible from a small piece of chicken, sort of burnt brown in appearance with black bits, dry around the edges, two pieces of lettuce 5x2cm, one piece of tomato slightly larger than the size of 50c piece and some average sauce. Avoid.

  • +4

I thought the McSpicy was tasty enough. Though I was smashed at the time.

  • +4

These new Maccas chicken burgers are a very poor replacement for the Chicken Deluxe range that disappeared suddenly.

Smaller, crappy chicken with awful sauce and less vegetable (tomato, lettuce). Also a conspicuous absence of cheese.

I'm going back to KFC as Maccas is punishing customers for their drop in sales.

    Die, Ronald!

    • +3

The Chicken Deluxe was actually quite tasty if you chose the crispy option. And it had real cheese, not that plastic stuff. Obviously anything palatable from McDonalds on the Healthy Choices menu couldn't last.

  • How do we claim it? Any coupons?

  • Has this been confirmed yet? It's past 11am.

    • +5

What? Your telling me they are doing a promotion so that they can make money in the long run?? This is blasphemy. Report away!

  • Perfect deal, could be better if the title gets shorter(w/o last 2 words).

    • -3

begin_2000, those 2 words are probably the most important words in the title? It lets others know that its not available in other states.

  • I'm on the GC so it's irrelevant to me anyway but I'm curious as to which suburb is the cut-off point?

  • Confirmed. McDonalds in the Myer Centre!

  • ate already..thanks

  • Confirmed at Wintergarden
I had to walk up and ask for the free McChamp; no signage

  • +2

Hi , picked one up today
ZERO signage at the store to advertise it , must be radio promo

  • Woolloongabba confirmed (no signage either). Free lunch, no complaints.

Just got mine from Eight Mile Plains. They say,

"McChamp, mouthwatering crispy chicken breast, topped with crunchy-fresh lettuce and a delicious two punch combo of tangy relish and special mayo"

Reality, slightly burnt soggy chicken…thing, topped with old dry lettuce with a two punch combo of…wait there was a sauce?? I guess the special mayo was still sitting in the sun!

At the end if the day it was free and has convinced me not to buy one ever! Good work Macca's, thanks for the heads up.

  • Confirmed: Sunnybank YAY

  • +1

    Got one from Central station.

It's a bad excuse for a chicken burger. The patty was over-cooked, hardly any lettuce, the bread was small. I wouldn't pay for one. But can't complain when it was free ^_^

  • Got one from Arana Hills… and it was delicious! Nothing at all like the above negative comments. Lettuce was crisp, chicken patty was tender and juicy, and loads of sauce. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones!

Same (from 3 different stores) . One of them even had a slice of tomato. Bargain for $0. Can't say I'd ever pay RRP for it.

      Thanks T_C you're a lunch saver.

    • Nicely done.

    • +1

      Broden!

    • A true professional.

  • Many thanks for the free breakfast, t_c!
I don't listen to radio so wouldn't have known otherwise.

Mine was alright, albeit a little bland. Chicken on it was good - fresh and crispy.
I much prefer the McGrilled from this new range, but hey this was free so I am grateful :D

    Cheers

  • Crap…just saw this…T_T

  • Thanks T_C, I was the first one at brisbane CBD near target and the lady had to ask the manager. Got another one on the way back at Mcdo elizabeth st.
