Last s3 price match round with OW was in the $350ish region… :P

    • +1

believe that was when OW price matched grey (imported) stock. Now they will only match against Aust stock with genuine Samsung warranty. So perhaps a good price if you are looking for Aust stock.

    • +3

that was price matching with a sham website….

    • Most OWs wouldn't match kogan but they did with shopping square. Local site, phone and warranty. That's how I got mine for $360ish.

  • +11

Yep. Wait a bit longer. The price will keep dropping.

    • +1

Not if the AU$ keeps dropping. Currently 1AUD is equivalent to 0.98US! :'(

    • someone told me "get it before the price going down" ;P

Where did that come from? Yes the i9300 has slightly inferior specs, but it's in no way a 'terrible phone'.

i9305 also has terrible custom rom compatibility from what I hear from friends.

      • 1gb of ram on a touchwiz phone makes it close to unusable. constant homescreen redraws and such.

the exynos in the i9300 wasn't good for custom roms I think they have their heads around it now though.

swapping to the 9305 was the best decision I made. I still recommend you pay the extra few dollars for that version of the s3. Or if you dont care about the storage/removable battery get a nexus 4

        • Yea, I do run out of ram frequently. Gotta always close the apps but it's still a solid phone.

      • The major selling point for android is custom roms. Wanamlite has kept my phone in amazing condition with fast speeds and the best battery you can get out of the phone. So I still stand by the fact that the i9300 is a great piece of hardware.

rubbish. My i9300 I bought less than a year ago still running flawlessly and very fast, no problems at all.

  • +3

Good price for Aussie stock if you wanted one of these today.

As noted though, I'd be inclined to wait…regardless of the dollar, IMHO the price will only keep going down! ;)

    I just want a cheap S2!

    • +3

      A very long wait for sub-$200 S2.

    • There are some cheap 2nd hand Galaxy Nexus getting around

      • where? Link pls:)

  • May be in store purchase only. You cannot click and buy it online.

I added the S3 i9305 to my cart when Kogan had it on sale for $389 with free shipping (white) + desktop dock $39 = $428

    I dont need it

Its still there for that price so if anyone wants it, PM me

    • sounds good, would u mind PM me? thx

    • Still available?pm me plz

    • Could you please pm if this is still available?

  • Just price matched at Officeworks for $472. Used a $100 gift card I was given from my employer so effectively only cost me $372. Pretty happy!

  • +1

Still doesn't beat 340 I gotten it price matched for.

    • How did you manage?

      • Too late now I posted about it in the forum.

        • Well-congratulations on purchasing this great phone at an awesome price.

Got a couple of S3 (maybe 5) from ow on 360.9 with price matching 1 month ago…..

  • +2

I don't care if it's the lowest price in Australia, $500 for this 1yo phone is way too much. You can almost get a Sony Xperia Z for that. For considerably less get a Sony Xperia V or a nexus 4. All better phones IMO.

If only note 2 N7105 were discounted to $400 or less, I would snap it immediately :(. Don't like S3

  • +1

I've heard that Kogan have been shipping some Australian stock S3's and Note II's as part of their last promotion

  • +3

I ordered a white i9305 from Kogan when they had free shipping promotion and received a i9305T running 4.1.2 minus the Telstra bloatware (sealed) for $389

  • Would still pick a Nexus 4 over this for performance, my girlfriends S3 is laggy as anything whilst my N4 is smooth as butter for $100 cheaper (I bought the 8gb for $349).

    • debatable; many points for and against, including the removable battery. some have pricematched officeworks for a $350ish s3 3g.
